ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 22ND, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
When the well’s dry, we know the worth of water.
Benjamin Franklin
Here where I live in norther Ohio we have a good source of fresh satie with Lake Erie. We also have water treatment plants tht purify the wawther that is piped into our homes. Of course we have to pay for the service, but it’s not terribly expensive and well worth the cost.
We tend to take it for granted unless there is a watermain break and it’s shut off. In some cases our pipelines for the water are getting old and we do have breaks now and then. We don’t really appreciated it until we don’t have it. For some, having water piped right into their home is a luxury they can’t afford, so we should appreciate what we have when we have it.
Water is vital for ark forms of life . Although it provides no calories or organic nutrients, water plays an important role in our world and is the centre piece of all life. Despite it being soft and humble, it cuts through hard rocks because of its patience and persistence.
With all the rain we’ve had lately, it’s hard to believe that some are having droughts. This is our usually time of year for lots of rain, Spring showers bring May flowers. Too bad we can’t spread some of it around to share with others, but as far as I know they haven’t found a way to do that yet. I’m just thankful we have plenty of it an won’t complain when the Spring rains come. Although it’s wonderful when we do see the sunshine!
The sun is out this morning and this is the 2nd Sunday that we won’t be able to go to church. It will be streamed on line though for anyone that wants to watch.
Right now it is only 29 degrees out with a high today of 45 degrees, but it will be warming up throughout the coming week with temps in the 50’s come next weekend.
I Hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

It's important to drink plenty of water!
So true, you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. I can't fathom how it must feel to be without clean water-on-demand ….. and pray I have to do so!
My former boss once told me, "You'll find yourself drinking more water if there's a straw."
"Well, hrmpf!", I thought to myself. Nevertheless, I went out and bought one of those BIG containers with the lid and straw … and darn if she wasn't right! Because I get weary of plain old water, I've started using sweet tea and/or lemonade flavoring drops for variety.
The lakes that they drained to rebuild a dam have now been refilled. We really missed seeing an open expanse of water! The turtles are grateful too! (I have a picture of this which I will have on my blog soon, with turtles so crowded onto a log in in the water, there is not one inch left for another turtle!) Take care and stay safe.
Great picture of you Ma by the water. Water is very important to us since we live in a desert. I am glad we have the resources we have to keep it safe to drink! It is always refreshing to have a good cool cup of it on a hot day! We watched our church service on line today. Great message about God and him being in control!

My favorite part of today's post is that last pic!! You are so adorable!!
I'm grateful our city has really good drinking water! In the country we have to buy bottled water or fill containers up from here at home.
My sister lives in Columbus, OH. and rain seems to be part of her life.
