ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR FRIDAY, MARCH 20TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
It is not happy people who are thankful, it is thankful people that are happy.

For me happiness is contentment in what I have and in what I do. There’s no better feeling. Although I’ve been alone more than not these days, I’m happy just to be me. What I have and enjoy, who could ask for anything more. I can enjoy my own company and have plenty to do. Life is just to short to be anything but happy.
Today would have been the day to get out and get my hair cut, but the salon we go to has been closed, all of them have.So I’ll just have to be content with the way the hair is. It doesn’t look bad but it’d look a lot better with a trim.
I try to keep it short and when it grows just a little bit, I feel like I have a mop on my head. Isn’t that way it goes, when I want it to grow, it doesn’t and when I wish it wouldn’t, it does. My hair dresser says she’s always been assured of a job. but who knew they’d force people to close up shop. In the realm of things this is tiny but for her it’s not. Lets’ pray for all those losing their jobs because their places of business had to close up.
I’m retired so I’m not going to lose my job and I can be thankful for that. The good Lord have mercy on those that have. Every day is something new and not so very good, so let’s be thankful for what we have and be happy with it.
I Hope you all have a FANTASTIC day!

COUNTING MY GIFTS
The secret of happiness is not in doing what one likes, but in liking what one does.
James M. Barrie
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
Make one person happy each day and in forty years you will have made 14,600 human beings happy for a little time at least.

Be content with what you have and you'll be happy!
So true to be content. We need to remember that in the days ahead!

Ironic, today being the International Day of Happiness … but I like your interpretation about being content. I, too, need my hair trimmed every 4 weeks - but I'm thankful being retired there's no-one to impress. (LOL) Joining you in prayer!
Contentment and gratitude is the true path to happiness, I think. Not necessarily a jump up and down screaming for joy all the time... more of a quiet sense of inner peace.
