ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

I make a lot of soups especially in the winter and most of the time I use my crockpot so today’s recipe is for one of America’s favorites Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup.
Easy Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup.
1 1/2 lb. Boneless chicken breasts

2 stalks celery, sliced
4 tsp fresh thyme

1 bay leaf
salt and ground black pepper
10 c. chicen broth
8 oz. egg noodles
In a slow cooker, combine chicken, onion, carrots, celery, thyme, rosemary, garlic, and bay leaf and season with salt and pepper. Pour in broth
Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred with two forks. Discard herbs and bay leaf . Return chicken to slow cooker and add egg noodles.
Cook on low, covered until noodles are done. 20 to 30 minutes.
Yields 6 to 8 servings
It’s turning colder today and is a perfect soup day here. This may seem like a large recipe for one person, but it freezes well is nice to have on hand when you need a quick meal.

Soup is true Comfort Food!
Sounds like a great recipe, Ma! It is cold here today in Phoenix and I'm thinking a soup for dinner will be just the thing to take some chill off!

Oh, your soup mug is adorable! We just drove 90 minutes through dreary rainfall, so these pictures are messing with my mind. (In a good way!) Tom's always careful to keep at least one can of Campbell's Chicken/Noodles in the pantry -- but this recipe sounds so much better.
Love that little soup mug!
