ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Weatherperson’s Day which regonizes individuals in the fields of meteorology, weather forecasting and broadcasting meteorology and well as volunteer storm spotters and observers.
This holiday is observed on on the birthday of John Jeffers, one of the the United State’s first weather observers who took measurements from 1774 to 1818. To celebrate the day simply watch a weather forecast.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A great, great deal has been said about the weather, but very little has ever been done..
Mark Twain
Much of what I do and what I wear is based on the daily weather forecast. I check the weather before deciding to go outside and to see what I need to wear. The colder it is, the more clothing I put on. I call it layering. I’ll put an additional layer on to keep warm. It all depends on the weather. When I had to go to work every day, I didn’t have a choice to stay home, I had to go out no matter what. But still I’d check the weather to see what I should expect as far as road conditions went. If it was icy and snowy out. I knew I’d have to leave a few minutes earlier as the ride to work would be a slow go.
These days there are not many times I really have to leave the house if I don’t want to. Still I check the weather report every morning and do appreciate our local weather men. There is very little we can do about the weather except deal with it. I am spoiled if it’s cold out I have a furnace that heats the house, if it’s hot out I have air conditioning to keep cool. Today’s pictures are of my house in each of the 4 seasons. I get to enjoy all kinds of weather.
Tonight we’re to have a winter weather advisory with snow, rain and ice in the forecast. Sounds like it might be a slow go in the morning. Take good care everyone!
Always remember wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine!
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Let a smile be your umbrella on a rainy day...
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7838. for weather men who help prepare us for the day
7839.for sunshine, it makes me feel better
7840. for rain that helps things grow
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Don’t knock the weather, nine-tenths of the people couldn’t start a conversation if it didn’t change once in a while.
Kin Hubbard
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

Whether the weather is good or bad we can't to a thing about the weather...
Like that last comment:)"Bring your own sunshine"
Pam, I just love your cute little house. Its as cosy as apple pie. We are in for some terrible blustery weather this weekend. I forget the name they are giving the storm but it is going to be a real doozy by all counts. I still can't comment using my iPadm which is what I use to read other blogs for the most part. I am sorry about that. I wish I knew what the problem was! Love all that you share Pam. You are a real inspiration to many of us on a daily basis! Love you! xoxo
I don't know the first thing about meteorology, but LOVE our Chief weather guru! They're talking about the potential of severe weather overnight; and, like last week and in times past, I fully expect Josh and his team will stay on the air until the threat passes.
In good days and bad, our weather folks are a blessing!
How cute with the pictures of your house with the 4 seasons Ma! Its nice you get that variety! I always kept track of the weather when the kids were in school with how to dress them or how to tell them to dress. Living in some of the states we did, there was a lot of layering done as temps could fluctuate mightily during the day!
betty
I am layering today in Texas! Keeping the logs burning in the fireplace and wearing a long flannel nightshirt under a nice warm robe with men's long black socks on my feet and then snuggle booties on top of that! It is COLD here today!
Mark Twain was right. We can't do a darned thing about the weather. It was nearly eighty degrees here a few days ago, and lots of plants are already budding or in bloom, but if Mother nature decides to deliver a blast of cold weather, we'll just have to grin and bear it.
