It’s also Chocolate mint Day which honors the unique pairing of mint and chocolate. Most people agree that mint and chocolate were made for each other.  A burst of refreshing peppermint, spearmint or creme de month combined with the smooth rich taste of chocolate is truly delicious.

Some of the most famous chocolate mint inventions  include mint chocolate cake, Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies Peppermint Paatties, Andes after dinner mints, and mint chocolate chip ice cream.  Chocolate mint is also a type of herb. It is part of the spearmint family  and has edible leaves that taste like chocolate and mint.

To celebrate today, snack on a piece of your favorite chocolate mint candy, enjoy a scoop of chocolate mint ice cream or drop a candy cane in a steaming cup of hot cocoa!

Sorry to say this is another long distance birthday celebration so I won’t be seeing this grandson today but am sending my love and birthday wishes out in the mail today.  I hope it’s a wonderful day! I woke up to sunshine coming through my window this morning which means that I slept in.  It’s supposed to be a party sunny day but colder than yesterday.  And it’s my day to get out an do some shopping. It’s going to be only 28 degrees for a high. The roller coaster weather continues as it was 20 degrees warmer yesterday!

On the bright side the roads are clear and the snow has once again melted. So there is no need to worry about slipping and sliding when I go out.  DD and her family were able to visit with our Prince charming and see one of his hockey games recently so that is what the picture are of today.
