ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Internet Friends Day which honors our virtual friends . It’s a day to share greetings especially in social networks. They are friendships that take place eclusively over the internet and are similar to the pen pals of yesteryear.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Don’t walk in front of me…I may not follow.
Don’t walk behind me…I may not lead
Walk beside me..just be my friend.
Albert Camus
I have several internet friends that I’ve never met in person and I also have some friends I’ve known for a long time in person too. This newsletter is my way of keeping in touch with family and friends every day. You all mean a lot to me so I want you to know how much you are appreciated.
It’s looking like another day of staying in due to the weather. Our weather advisory should end at 10:00 the morning, so that’s a good thing. But it’s going to be a cold day with a high of only 35 degrees and a low of 11 degrees overnight, so our snow won’t be melting away anytime soon.
I’ll probably go out and shovel a little snow, but that’s ok as I need the exercise. It looks like several inches of new snow outside this morning. I’m enjoying reading my new books and am now on the 2nd of my new library books The first was Lost and Found by Danielle Steel. She is one of my favorite authors. Today’s book will be The Summerhouse by Jude Deveraux which sounded like just what I needed on a cold winter day. The third book I have lined up is Takes One to Know One by Susan Issacs. I have only read a few of her books but have always enjoyed them.
There hasn’t been much I’ve enjoyed watching on TV lately so I’m so thankful for a good selection of books to read.
I hope you have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I love my on line friends!
Me, too! I certainly value you being a member of my little 'tribe'!
I've not read any of Danielle Steele's books in a long time. For a while there she was my favorite author; perhaps it's time I made a return visit.
I recently read Lost and Found, Ma; that was a good one of hers! Happy Internet Friends Day to you too!! We've been Internet buddies since when I lived in Montana and that was 15 years ago!! Brrr with your cold weather; do stay bundled up!
