ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!!

Today is Presidents Day which honors President Lincoln and Washington’s birthday and all the Presidents of the United States This February holiday is also well known for being a day many stores hold sales. Some schools close for the day, as well as the post office and most government offices. This is a long 3 day weekend for many and they take advantage of it for a winter break.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Leave nothing for tomorrow which can be done today.
Abraham Lincoln
It seems I’m on a little break, or at least a change of scenery, of my own this weekend as I’m here at DD’s house dog sitting this morning. So it’s a little different getting started than I’m used to. The dogs have been talking to me but I’ve not quite learned their language. They’ve been outside, fed and watered and they keep trying to tell me something, and I’m at a loss as to what it is that they need.
I’ll go home later on today and get back to normal. There is lots to do there as usual.
I hope you have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
As powerful as our memories are, our dreams must be even stronger. For when our memories outweigh our dreams, we become old.
President Bill Clinton
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7874 for grand dogs to;love
7875 for a little break
7876 for our Presidents, they have a big job.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
It is hard to fail, but it its worse never to have tried to succeed.
Theodore Roosevelt
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

I always feel better after I read your posts! My those are beautiful dogs, too!
Now I'm wondering what your grand-dogs were trying to tell you? Perhaps you can describe it to your DD and her instincts will know. Dogs are such wondering companions aren't they. It's good to get to love on them, but don't have to be full-time responsible.
How fun to dog sit Ma! It gives a little break to your usual routine and you get to spend some time with some furry friends!
