Happy Birthday to you♥
Today is also Tooth Fairy Day. For hundreds of years, people have shared mystical legends, stories, and traditions about the loss of baby teeth. The early Europeans buried their children’s teeth so witches and ever spirits couldn’t used them for voodoo. The vikings believed that children’s teeth had magical powers that could help them fight in battle. The would pay their children for their lost baby teeth and string them onto neck;laces and other jewelry.
Over time people began to share stores about the Tooth Mouse who scampers around town and steels children’s teeth in the middle of the night. The story of the mouse evolved into the story of the Tooth Fairy who leaves treasures under children’s pillow in exchange for their lost tooth.
Tooth Fairy traditions are still popular today. Kids all over the world place their lost baby teeth under their pillows at night and look forward to a wonderful surprise in the morning. Happy National Tooth Fairy Day!
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons It all exists even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?
John Lennon
This grandson's birthday is another one of those long distance celebrations, but on the Bright side he will be having a party coming up so then I’ll be able to celebrate in person with him then, just not today. They’ve been busy moving into a new home so the party had to be delayed for just a little while. Today’s pictures are from his party last year.
Both he and his sister have regaled me with stories of the tooth fairy coming to their house. Both have lost teeth recently and soon they'll bound to be rich from the tressure they’ve found under their pillows.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!

You're blessed when you're content with just who you are—no more, no less. That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought

Birthdays are special days to celebrate !
When my parents came to visit us one year, our older son lost one of his teeth, and the tooth fairy was so busy talking and playing cards, she forgot all about the lost tooth. Our son was very upset the next morning when he found his tooth was still in his little pillow, (I made special little pocketed tooth pillows for each of our kids) so I told him to write the tooth fairy a note and put it on the front of the fridge. The tooth fairy didn't forget a second time, and even better yet, I still have that old note. :)
Happy Birthday blessings to your Lucky Guy! Even after all the years, its nice to know that benevolent Tooth Fairy makes rounds.
A new home is exciting, indeed. (Lots of work, but still exciting.)
Happy Birthday to your grandson! Tooth fairies! I don’t remember these from my childhood. Did the have them back in the 1950’s?
Poor Amber and Mike have been kept busy have quadruplets! Someone’s always loosing a tooth over in Quadville!
Happy Birthday to Lucky Guy! I'm glad you'll be celebrating with him when he has his party down the line! I didn't realize that's how the Tooth Fairy came to be. My mom left us things from the tooth fairy when we were growing up, but I never started the custom with my kids. I'd be curious how many still hold to this cute custom and gift their kids' loss of teeth with money :)
