ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Sticky Bun Day which are also known a cinnamon rolls and are a delicious breakfast pastry made with leavened dough. Traditional recipes call for a glazed topping with pecans , maple syrup or honey, cinnamon and butter.
The first people to add honey and nuts to their bread were Ancient Egyptians. Glazed pastries have been popular ever since. German settlers in Pennsyvania created our modern day sticky buns. The pastries were called Schneken and are still considered a Philadelphia specialty.
Celebrate National Sticky Bun Day by baking some fresh sticky buns to share with friends. and family.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
All happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast.
John Gunther
I have a sweet tooth so I love both sticky buns and cinnamon rolls. I even found a very easy recipe so I could make my own.
Easy Caramel Sticky Buns
Makes 10 servings
Topping;
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 tbsp light corn syrup
1/4 c. chopped pecans
Buns
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 can refrigerator buttermilk biscuits
Heat oven to 375 degrees . In an uncreased 8 inch round pan, place 1/4 butter, heart in oven 2 5o 5 minutes until butter is melted. Stir in brown sugary and coren syrup until well blended. Sprinkle with pecans.
In small bowl, place 1 tbsp. melted butter. In another bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.
Separate dough into 10 biscuits. Dip biscuits into melted butter to coat all sides., dip in sugar mixture, coating all. Arrange biscuits , sides touching over topping in pan.
Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2 minutes, turn upside down on serving plate. Let pan reman 1 minute so caramel can drizzle over rolls. Serve warm.
The very fist picture today is of Cinnabuns Cinnamon rolls. The 2nd picture is of sticky buns taken from the internet. Both are very different in my opinion. Both are delicious but I don’t happen to have either on hand here this morning so the picture below is what I do have and that is Krispy Kreme sour cream doughnut holes. yum! i can’t eat just one.
There is always some kind of doughnut or something sweet here at my house. I have one or two every day.The sun is shinning here this morning and it’s only 18 degrees right now but on the bright side it is supposed to warm up to the mid 30;s. We’re out of the deep freeze once more and just in time, because I have to go out for a hair cut today.
I hope you all have aWONDERFUL Wednesday!

Nort the best breakfast in the world, but it makes my sweet tooth happy!
Sounds delicious! I've never tasted a Cinnabon, but the folks at Krispy Kreme make magic, that's for sure. Simple pleasures.
Those Cinnabons are truly very tasty!! Hubby enjoys getting them from time to time! They do almost melt in your mouth!
