ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Human Rights Day which has been observed since December 10th, 1948 when The United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human rights. We are reminded that all individuals should honor and stand up for their basic human rights, no matter location or circumstance.
While the Declaration is not legally binding, it is still and ever important document and is highly influential in international law. To celebrate today, spend a few minutes learning about your human rights and the importance of our fundamental rights. They include our right to live, our right to health, education, freedom of speech and thoughts, and equal rights.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
It’s your unlimited power to care and to love that can mike a big difference in the quality of your life.
Anthony Robbins
In our country we have a Bill of Rights but not everyone is so blessed. There are many places where people don’t have even the most basic of needs like food, water and shelter, so I’m thankful for the work of all those that do so much to make life better for everyone.
We can all make a difference in the lives of people every day by remembering to be kind and thoughtful. We can make someones day by giving them a smile and a kind word. Everyone can do simple things that make a difference, and every little bit does count.
One thing I know for sure is that if you make someone happy, you will be happy too. What we give away, always come back to us. What goes around comes back around. You can always give something, even if it is only kindness.
This new week is looking to be a little drier here. We’ve had rain and snow and cloudy days and a little break is needed. This is my week to put the finishing touches on everything Christmas here at my house, so it’s going to be a busy one.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There is no great joy nor greater reward than to make a fundamental difference in someone’s life.
Mary Rose McGeady
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6598 for the small things in life which are often the big things
6599. for a new week, another chance to get it right
6600. for my health and that of my family
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY

My faith, family and friends are the important things in my life.
I truly love visiting here in the mornings with my first cup of coffee. The images and inspirational quotes today spoke to my heart.....
Wishing you a good week! 15 days till Christmas! I love your countdowns to days!
I'm glad we have the rights that we have here in America. So true how blessed we are compared to other countries and we should always remember to be grateful for that and to pray for others.

You know, it's popular these days to poke fun of the 'people of Wal-Mart.' But just this morning (during a marathon excursion at WM) I'd occasion to witness the best of shoppers hearts. Insignificant gestures, but I left in a better mood than when I started.
Like you, I am grateful that I have been blessed enough to live my whole life in countries which honor basic human rights. That is such a gift. I always think there but for the grace of God go I! xoxo
