ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Christmas Day which is the Christian holiday marking the birth of Jesus. It’s a joyous occasion and celebrated with loved ones far and near. The festivities often include a Christmas feast, gift exchanges, church celebrations, a treat from Santa and holiday parties.
So Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly, hang up a Christmas wreath and enjoy some delicious Christmas cookies. Send a last minute card, or kiss a loved one under the mistletoe. However you decide to celebrate today, do it with friends and family. Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve 2018
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
¸¸.•*¨*•A partridge in a pear tree...¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪
The pictures today were taken yesterday evening at our Christmas Eve church service. DD and her family, DS#5 and family and DS#6 and family were there with me.
I like to celebrate the 12 days of Christmas here at my house, and since our family celebration isn’t until the 29th, that is a good thing. Christmas Day is the first day and the last day will be on January 5th known as Twelfth Night. Some celebrate by giving one gift each day. And my gift to you is going to be a recipe.
Today is the first day of Chrismas, and my true love gave to me a partridge in a pear tree… so I’m going to make something with pears in it.
Baked Pears
Sugar cinnamon mixture
1/3 c. honey
Graham crackers
1 pkg. cream cheese
2 cans pear halves
Crush graham crackers, mix sugar and cinnamon. Mix cream cheese and honey until smooth. Spoon cream cheese mixture into drained pear halves. Pour some pear juice over pears. Sprinkle graham crackers and cinnamon over pears. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes
Christmas Day will be a quiet one for me as my family are celebrating in their own homes or with the their in laws today. We always try to do our family celebration on a different day. I think it is especially good for children to be home on Christmas Day.
Church services were last night, so today is a day for me to spend at home. I’ve been wanting to do some baking, so I think I will start today. There just hasn’t been any time before now for me to do it.
My little tree lights are lit, the Christmas music is playing and candles are burning. There is nothing like being at home for true comfort.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday! Merry Christmas !

COUNTING MY GIFTS
The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Let it be Christmas everywhere, Let love fill the air....
What super pictures these are, Pam! Your red sweater looks beautiful, and I'm lovin' DS#5 and family's colorful socks!
Of course, I've always heard the 12 days of Christmas (song), but I didn't realize they actually begin on Christmas Day. That makes sense! Already, I'm so blessed, I'd better not drop any hints about receiving 12 more presents … lol. Tom and I don't exchange gifts, but you've just given me a great idea to prepare 12 of his favorite foods.
PS - I seriously love what you said on Jack's blog about the spirit of Santa Claus!
These are great pictures, Ma!! Your grandchildren are so adorable, beautiful and handsome! And getting so big!!
I look forward to your recipes that you'll share over the 12 days of Christmas.
I agree that children should be home on Christmas morn. Was reading on Facebook this morning "horror" stories people shared of having to get together with extended family for the holidays and the stress that it can cause.
Have a great Christmas Day Ma!
