ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Peculiar People Day is in honor of uniquely different people. Unordinary, extraordinary, unusual, strange, odd, uncommon, intriguing, different, abnormal, and quirky.... These are all things that we think of to describe the word peculiar. Most of these characteristics can be viewed as good, or not so good. Today is a day to look for the good in your peculiar acquaintances.
If you are peculiar, this is your day to be honored and appreciated. Chances are, you will find something peculiar about yourself, if you look hard enough. If you can't find anything peculiar about yourself, then give some recognition and appreciation to your quirky friends and family.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Nature made us individuals, as she did the flowers and the pebbles; but we are afraid to be peculiar, and so our society resembles a bag of marbles, or a string of mold candles. Why should we all dress after the same fashion? The frost never paints my windows twice alike.
Lydia Maria Child
I think the great thing about people is that we are all unique and different. We all have a peculiar trait or characteristic that is ours and ours alone. The world would be a very boring place if we were all alike. What one person can do, another cannot. It takes a lot of different people to make the world go round.
It’s to be in the 40’s with rain today. Hopefully some of that salt on the roads will wash away. It’s made a mess of all our cars, including mine. Maybe I should take it for a ride and let nature take care of cleaning it too.
It’s so nice to be able to step out the door and not freeze. This warm spell won’t last long but while it’s here let’s enjoy it. Next week we’ll have a return to colder temps, hopefully not as cold as we were.
Just like us, every day is different and every day is unique and special too.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s Bittersweet Chocolate Day. In case you didn't get enough chocolate and sweets over the long holidays, here is a chance to delve into some bittersweet chocolate. Bittersweet chocolate is a sweeter form of dark chocolate. Unlike milk chocolate, it has no milk. It is darker, and richer than most other chocolates, and is the most popular chocolate for baking.
Consuming bittersweet chocolate on a daily basis is actually quite good for you. All variations of dark chocolate contain antioxidants that lower blood pressure and help protect your heart. Other heart healthy foods include green tea and blueberries!
This rich, moist, dark chocolate brownie recipe is perfect for a special occasion or extra special weekend treat.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Every human being has a work to carry on within, duties to perform abroad, influence to exert, which are peculiarly his, and which no conscience but his own can teach.
William Ellery Channing
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Cute! This post made me smile twice:
My mom's favorite saying was reminding me how boring this old world would be if we were all like.
Next? The only time I grew VIOLENTLY, ugly ill was after over-eating chocolate and cherries in 7th grade.
Sometimes, just reading the word "cherries" makes me quiver. Thanks for the memories!!! :)
