ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Perhaps all the dragons of our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us once beautiful and brave.
Rainer Maria Rilke
It seems we all have a dragon or dragons of some kind in our lives. We see them every day in some form or another. Some dragons appear as financial difficulty, or a challenging relationship, or even some kind of health related hardship.
No mater their origins, all dragons have something in common…they demand attention. The more you try to ignore them the angrier they become.
Our attitude is our best defense to slay the dragons. It’s all about how we choose to face the situations in our lives. How we respond matters.
I don’t have any pictures of dragons to share, but I do have pictures of snow. Snow and cold is the dragon I’’m fighting right now. I try to remember that nothing lasts forever, this too shall pass and Spring will come.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Fig Newton Day! Popular myth has it that Nabisco's chewy cookies were named after Sir Isaac Newton. In reality, they were named after their birthplace of Newton, Massachusetts. These cookies are made in over 5 varieties aside from original fig, including strawberry, apple & cinnamon, sweet peach & apricot, and triple berry.
They rank as the 3rd most popular cookie in the United States, with over 1 billion eaten each year!
To celebrate this holiday, open up a fresh pack of them to enjoy as a snack, or as a sweet ending to your meal!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.
Neil Gaiman
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5626. for stories that teach us lessons

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

ADVICE FOR TODAY
Happiness is like those palaces in fairy tales whose gates are guarded by dragons: we must fight in order to conquer it.
Alexander Dumas
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Good morning! I see you have some sweet hearts around your place!
Wise words about the dragons!
For sure, I'm appreciating "PUFF!" (...the magic dragon.) I loved that song in '62(?) and still do to this day.
I love your thoughts on dragons Pam! You are so right, we all have dragons in our life we need to work at slaying! Like Melvely, I always loved that song Puff the Magic Dragon when I was a girl. It still has the power to make my heart smile also. Love your quote from Alexander Dumas and all that you share Pam! oxoxo PS - Have not had a Fig Newton in years! I think I need to buy some! xo
