ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Animals are such agreeable friends — they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.
George Eliot
There is no pet to dress up here at my house, so maybe I’ll just have to dress up myself. Ha! These days there is not too many reasons to dress up, but it is Sunday after all. I have seen some really cute costumes for pets though. When I had dogs I’d often tie a bandanna around their necks. It wasn’t much but then they looked cute anyway.
Yesterday I spent some time clearing away the new snow that had accumulated on the drive and the walk. After that I really didn’t have much energy left to do much of anything else. I put some beef and noodles in the crockpot for my weekend dinners and other than that put my feet up.
It’s turned very cold, but they say today will be sunny. After church today I’ll probably spend the day just relaxing. Got to rest up for another busy week ahead. The house has pretty much returned to normal now and all the Christmas decorations are packed away. It won’t be long until February is here so I added a few hearts and flowers to brighten things up and that is what the pictures are of today.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day, which is a popular delicatessen meat, usually made from beef.
Hot Pastrami Sliders

Whisk together the sauce ingredients then brush over each slider. Cover tightly with foil and bake about 15 minutes or till cheese is melted. Remove foil and return to oven another 5 minutes or until the rolls start to crisp.

You're right ... there are so many adorable costumes for dogs. I could seriously over-spend myself, and in the end, my girls would probably fight me tooth and nail. Caraleigh used to love being dressed up; I still have several of her little sweaters in the hope chest.
