ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Coloring Book Day which encourages us to get back to the days of our youth, and dive between the pages of a coloring book. Coloring books have been used for everything from educational purposes, to aiding in therapy and health. There are even special coloring books intended to help a child what is going to happen to them during surgery, a little understanding can assuage a large amount of fear. Adults can color too! There are highly detailed books specifically designed to be used by adults
There is magic between the covers of a coloring book, a type of magic that can take us away and walk us into a million worlds. Coloring books make artists of us all!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world. Constantly color your picture gray, and your picture will always be bleak. Try adding some bright colors to the picture by including humor, and your picture begins to lighten up.
Allen Klein
I have a couple of those adult coloring books here at my house and lots of coloring books and crayons for my grandchildren too when they come to visit. Many hours of pleasure have been spent coloring. We really never get too old to color. They are fun for all ages!
Just like a sunny day, colors do affect my attitude. I love to wear yellow on a cloudy day and red, my favorite, always puts me in a positive frame of mind.
They say there is a pretty good chance of rain later on today and for the next couple of days here so I best find something very colorful to wear. It’s my way to make my own sunshine even though the skies are gray. On the bright side, the weekend is supposed to be a sunny one. One thing about the weather is that it is constantly changing, we’ll see...
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Ice Cream Sandwich Day which is a time to enjoy a cold sandwich, an ice cream sandwich.
Ice cream sandwiches have been around since the early 1900s. Vanilla, chocolate and a combination of the two, are the most popular. You can make homemade sandwiches. Just put some ice cream between a couple wafers or between two of your favorite cookies.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.
Robert Fulghum
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

I like to color. It can be so relaxing.

I used to love going to Macaroni's with my boss ... drinking wine and coloring the butcher-paper 'tablecloth' to our hearts content.
My BF gifted me one of those adult coloring books and colored pencils last year, but I've not yet broken them in....
Guess I'm still afraid to color outside the lines, even after all these years. (Pathetic, party of one.)
