ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Internaut Day which is a blending of the words Internet and Astronaut that refers to those who either have played some role in the construction of the Internet, an operator of the internet, or one who is a fully capable user of the internet.
The term can include almost anyone who uses the internet, though those without technical savvy are often referred to as netizens. As the world progresses, we’re bound to see new types of netizens, especially as we see Augmented Reality expanded and the physical world becomes increasingly integrated with the digital world. Who knows what the future holds for the world and the internet
The internet is the newest great frontier, a place where every new innovation creates a new virtual world deep within the web.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The Internet is becoming the town square for the global village of tomorrow.
Bill Gates
The term internaut is a new one for me, but I suppose in the days ahead there will be more and more new ones to learn. We can only wonder what the future will bring. I guess I could be called a netizen as I use the internet but am not very technical savvy.
Today’s pictures are/ would have been / of more of my grandchildren headed back to school this week. There will be more coming as some don’t return to school until after labor day weekend. These little ones will have much to learn in the days ahead. Things are changing everyday with more and more new things to learn.
It seems there is something new for me to learn every day of my life and the more I learn the more I find I need to learn. It’s unending.
There is a feeling of fall in the air here this morning as overnight temps went down into the 50’s and we’re to stay cool today with temps barely reaching 70. It’s just a sample of what’s to come. It won’t stay this cool, but the long range forecast says our highs will remain in the upper 70’s and not the 80’s in the foreseeable days ahead.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s Peach Pie Day which celebrates this succulent piece of dessert and those who love it. Today’s recipe uses gingersnaps for the crust, giving a little twist to the taste.
Gingersnap Peach Pie
2 pounds peaches, about
1/3 cup sugar
2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp butter
18 average gingersnaps
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cut peaches in half and remove pits. Cut each peach half into four slices. Combine peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon and cornstarch in a medium bowl; set aside.
Melt butter in microwave or on stovetop. Crush gingersnaps into crumbs; place in a small bowl. Pour melted butter into crumbs and combine thoroughly.
Pat crumb mixture into bottom of a 9 inch ceramic or glass pie plate; make sure crumbs are evenly distributed.
Starting at edge of pie plate, arrange peach slices in circles so that they cover entire surface of pie and form a petal like pattern. To form center of flower, arrange several peach slices in a small circle. Pour any remaining liquid from peach mixture over top of pie so it is evenly distributed.
Bake pie in bottom 1/3 of oven for 20 minutes; reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake for 40 minutes more.
Remove from oven and cool completely in pie plate on a wire rack. Slice into 8 pieces just before serving.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.
John Dewey

You're blessed when you're content with just who you are—no more, no less. That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought

I, too, am a netizen ... not one ounce of technical savvy here. I do like that quote by Bill Gates.
... and I LOVE the thought of tasting a gingersnap pie crust. :)
Have a beautiful day!
