ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Happy Birthday to DDIL#3 today !
Happy Birthday ♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ Happy Birthday ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ Happy Birthday to you♥ ♥ ♥
May the dear Lord Bless and keep you today and always !
Today is also National Tell a Joke Day which is a fun fill day with lots of laughter. The more jokes you tell, the more fun this day will be. We are encouraged to listen to many jokes today. Everybody is getting into the act, and in order to tell a joke, someone has to be present to listen to the joke.
A joke can be of different types. They can be verbal, as in the case of a one liner, a whole story or in the form a question and answer, where the answer provides the humor. Jokes can also be physical such as in the case of a prank or a practical joke, where the act rather than the words provide the humor. Either way, the main purpose of a joke is to entertain by providing humor, even though jokes can sometimes be used to make serious commentary like in the case of satire.
Remember to laugh aloud today ! It’s National Tell a Joke Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Housekeeping ain't no joke.
Louisa May Alcott
This is not a joke, it’s DDIL#3’s birthday and it is another one of my long distance celebrations. Truly there are not many I get to celebrate in person. But I always take the time to send a card filled with the best of wishes for a very happy day to those I care about. One thing I know for sure about DDIL#3 is that she loves fudge and chocolate! So I’m wishing her a very sweet day! I love the very first picture of her and the bike. She'd found lots of shops selling fudge and she was a happy camper!
Here at my house the joke is usually on me. I spend more time laughing at my self that not. Just when I think I’ve got things under control, they’re not.
I found a couple of jokes to share with you all today…They may not be the best, but hopefully they’ll make you smile!
Q: What runs around a yard without moving?
A: A fence.
Ha ha ha ha…
God is talking to one of his angels and says, Do you know what I have just done? I have just created a 24 hour period of alternating light and darkness on Earth. Isn’t that good?
The angel says, Yes, but what will you do now?
God says, I think I’ll call it a day.
That is my jokes for this day and it's probably a good time to to quit !
Laugh! It’s good medicine!
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
This is DDIL#3’s fudge stash from vacation!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
Happy National Bratwurst Day! It's the perfect time of year to celebrate this spiced sausage. Zucchini is very abundant right now and the cause of lots of jokes too. But I found a recipe that combines the great taste of bratwurst and zucchini.
BRATWURST STUFFED ZUCCHINI BOATS
1 pound bratwurst links
3 medium zucchini, ends removed and zucchinis cut in half length wise
1/4 green bell pepper, diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 habanero, diced..optional
1 tsp red chili flakes
1 tsp paprika
Large pinch each of salt and pepper
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/3 cup breadcrumbs, plus some for sprinkling
2 large eggs
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Using a small spoon, scoop out flesh and seeds from each zucchini half. Discard and set zucchini halves aside.
In a large saute pan, cook the bratwurst all the way through. Remove from heat and set aside to cool enough to handle. Saute the green pepper, onion, and habanero in a large sauté pan until tender, about 6-8 minutes. Meanwhile, chop up the bratwurst links.
Add the red chili flakes, paprika, and 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese to the pepper mixture. Add the chopped bratwurst to the pan and cook until everything is mixed and heated through.
Transfer mixture to a large bowl, add breadcrumbs and large eggs, and mix together until throughly combined.
Place zucchini boats in a single layer on a greased baking sheet and divide the stuffing evenly among the boats, making sure to mound the stuffing. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese and a little bit of breadcrumbs.
Bake 30 to 40 minutes, or until stuffing is browned.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Happiness requires that we give up a worldly orientation—not worldly things, but a worldly attachment to things. We have to surrender all outcomes. We have to live here but appreciate the joke.
Marianne Williamson
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

ADVICE FOR TODAY
There is no such thing as too much fun. People need to know it is O.K. to tell jokes and be happy.

The recipe sounds amazing! I love zucchini and I love brats. I will make sure I tell a couple of jokes tonight to celebrate the day!
Happy Birthday blessings to your DDIL#3! Love the exuberance in Pix #1!
I, too, love zucchini and brats. Unfortunately, I've neither in the larder ... but you've given my taste buds something to germinate ... which I hope will happen SOONER rather than later!
