32 DAYS UNTIL SPRING

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day which is a day set aside to perform a few random acts of kindness. Almost any kind deed will do. And, it is highly recommend we perform kind acts on as many people as we can.
This is a favorite day of many people and groups. People like the idea of showing a little kindness to others. Its a fun and good thing to do. And, they like being on the receiving end of this day as well. It makes both the giver and the receiver feel good.
What comes around, goes around. Random Acts of Kindness is highly contagious.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The best portion of a good man's life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love.
William Wordsworth
It’s always a good day to be kind in my books. Life is too short to be otherwise. We should never underestimate the impact that one single act of kindness makes.
Every day is a good day for kindness. We can all do better by striving to help others and not just on Random Acts of Kindness Day. One of the best things we can do for our own well being is to be kind and giving to others. People who are kind every day really never have a bad day.
Hard to believe that once again our week has come to an end. The weekend ahead looks like a busy one for me. Hopefully filled with some fun times instead of working here at home. I hope to do some President’s Day sale shopping with DD and DDIL#5 and on Sunday we have a party to go to for our Little Lucky Guy. His official birthday will be the 28th of the month. Sunday is however, the official birthday for our Prince Charming, but he is off to a hockey tournament, so won’t be able to celebrate with him.
Our temps are suppose to be mild and it’s to be sunny, so it’s looking like a great weekend ahead.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Indian Pudding Day
Indian pudding is a baked custard with milk, butter, molasses, eggs, spices, and cornmeal. Quick and comforting, for breakfast or for dessert, this pudding is a tradition that originated in New England.
The following is a variation of the recipe using Cream of Wheat instead of cornmeal.
QUICK INDIAN PUDDING
2/3 cup instant Cream of Wheat
2 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/4 cups sugar
Place Cream of Wheat, milk, molasses, cinnamon and sugar in saucepan. Stir constantly over low heat until mixture forms bubbles. Let boil 1/2 minute.
Remove from heat and pour into dessert dishes.
Serve warm with ice cream.
Serves 4.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I don't care how much money you have, how good looking you are or what kind of car you drive...only if you are KIND, that is all that matters to me!
Kindness is so under-appreciated ... until you're on the receiving end, that is.
I've heard of Indian pudding, yes ... but I'd no idea what it was. Sounds yummy!
