56 DAYS UNTIL WINTER

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
It’s International Artists Day which honors those creative souls that will leave a record of today for the future that can’t be captured in history books. Artists work hard to create their work. They add beauty to the world around us. Artists work with many different mediums. They include painters, photographers, sculptors, musicians, dancers, writers, actors, digital artists and more.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Each of us is an artist of our days; the greater our integrity and awareness, the more original and creative our time will become
John O’Donohue
They say there is a little bit of an artist in all of us. With so many different forms of art it’s not hard as we might think to be one. Two of my sons make their living by being artists. One is an Art Teacher and the other is a graphic artist. They are both very talented.
Each of us are blessed with different talents and should use them to the best of our abilities. Lots of people spend their time wishing they were like someone else. But the truth of the matter is that we are unique and special and should make the best of what we are. It takes everyone working together to make this world the best it can be.
Even though my days seem rather repetitive and mundane here, I still have work to do and am trying my best to get it done. There is a saying that says, Every day is a gift and what we do with it is our gift to God.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Greasy Foods Day! Although it might not be the healthiest choice out there, everyone loves the taste of greasy food. From pizza and nachos to burgers and French fries, it's nearly impossible to ignore this guilty pleasure. I found this recipe to share that includes two of my favorites, bacon and pizza.
Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza
Pizza Dough for A 10 inch Crust
3 ounces Ground Beef
1/8 Onion Finely Diced
Salt And Pepper, to taste
3 slices Bacon
2 Tablespoons Butter Or Bacon Grease
1/4 teaspoon Ketchup, Plus Extra For Drizzling
2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup Sliced Kosher Dill Pickles
Mustard, As Needed
While your pizza dough is rising, begin prepping your ingredients. Cook the ground beef with onion in a skillet over medium-low heat until no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper. Cook the bacon until it is a little less done than you normally like it.
20 minutes before the dough is done rising, preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Place a pizza pan or heavy, flat stainless steel cookie sheet in the oven to preheat.
Roll the dough out on a sheet of parchment paper to a 10 inch circle. Spread the butter all over the dough, right out to the edge. Spread the ketchup over the dough for the sauce. Sprinkle with the cheese, ground beef, bacon, and pickles. Drizzle with mustard and ketchup.
Bake in preheated oven on preheated stone or cookie sheet for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until the bottom of the crust is deep golden brown all the way across and the cheese is melted. Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Make every day your masterpiece.
John Wooden
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I admire those that can draw well and have that talent. Yum on the cheeseburger pizza! I must admit I do like greasy foods at times.

We used to tease my oldest son for his love of greasy food. When we were traveling he always wanted to stop for a greasy hamburger or a greasy steak. Thanks for this memory!
