My children and their spouses, family reunion 2015
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Mother In Law Day which is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the two families that came together when you married, and the woman who raised your spouse!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.
Jane Howard
I am happy to say that I’m a Mother In Law to the seven spouses of my 7 children and am proud to say they are all wonderful addition to our family. So I’ll be celebrating today. I am thankful that my children have married and now have homes and families of their own. They are pictured in my post today
It was a very fast week here and hard to believe it’s Sunday already. I did get a lot done this week so I’ll welcome a day of rest. The week ahead looks to be another busy one too.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s Boston Creme Pie Day!
This is one of my favorite desserts and really not so very hard to make when you make a box cake mix and use instant pudding.
Boston Creme Pie
1 pkg., 3.4 oz., Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1 cup plus 2 Tbsp. cold milk, divided
1 1/2 cups thawed Cool Whip Topping
1 round yellow cake layer
1 oz. Unsweetened Chocolate
1 Tbsp. butter
3/4 cup powdered sugar
Beat pudding mix and 1 cup milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in COOL WHIP. Let stand 5 min. Meanwhile, cut cake horizontally into 2 layers with serrated knife.
Stack cake layers on plate, spreading pudding mixture between layers.
Microwave chocolate and butter in medium microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add sugar and remaining milk; mix well. Spread over cake. Refrigerate 1 hour.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Having a place to go — is a home. Having someone to love — is a family. Having both — is a blessing.
Donna Hedges
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4339. for all Mother In Laws, if we’re married we have one
4340. for cake and pudding a delicious combination
4341. for my SIL and DIL’s, a wonderful addition to my family
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU !

I always love seeing your sweet family pictures. I know you are a super MIL.
Beautiful photos of your beautiful family!
Seven children, my friend, my hat is off to you! I am sure you are a great mother-in-law just as you are a great mother!
It is good to have and be a great mother in law. I had some problems with mine, but it was mostly of my making. I am trying to be a good mother in law now that I have the opportunity to do so.

I never had the opportunity to meet my MIL.
We've a bit of unresolved estrangement with Tom's DIL, but as long as she makes her hubby and children happy, that's what counts. (Well, that and prayer!)
(Personally, I think I've the BEST DIL in the world, and I hope she thinks of me fondly.)
Love these photos. Why, a couple of your sons look as if they could be twins!
