43 DAYS UNTIL FALL

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Lazy Day which is your chance to goof off, and definitely not work. And, it definitely comes at a good time. Hot, muggy weather makes it easy to kick back and be lazy for a day. If summer chores are not done by now, they can just wait one more day. So lie back on the couch, give your TV remote control some exercise, and enjoy a well earned rest.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I make no secret of the fact that I would rather lie on a sofa than sweep beneath it. But you have to be efficient if you're going to be lazy.
Shirley Conran
It seems this whole summer has been about being lazy for me. I won’t deny that this is probably the laziest year I have ever spent. I have so many things that really should be done, but don’t have to be done, that I’ve decided they’ll wait until it’s cooler out. We’ll see…
They say we shouldn’t put off until tomorrow what we can do today, but sometimes there is an exception to every rule. I’d say it’s like I don’t do today what I can put off until tomorrow or never put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after tomorrow. It’s hot out and I’m lazy. Ha !
There are however somethings I never put off and those are the things I do every day. I never put off being thankful, or reading my scriptures, or saying my prayers. I always have my good cup of coffee or two every morning. Nothing is ever really work when you love what you do and I’m blessed to be able to do that every day.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday !
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s S’mores Day
S’more is the contraction of the phrase 'some more', which is not strange considering how tasty they are. The first S’more recipe can be found in a book of recipes published by the Campfire Marshmallows company in the early 1920s, which also tells us that the treat had already been popular with both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for some time. In 1968 the following recipe was provided: place a square of milk chocolate on a graham cracker, toast a marshmallow and put on top of the chocolate, then a second graham cracker on top of the toasted marshmallow and squeeze and you will want s’more.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There is no cure for laziness but a large family helps.
Herbert Prochnov
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4120. for lazy days
4121. for the gooey goodness of marshmallows
4122. for a rainy day, best spent on the porch
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Ambition is a poor excuse for not having sense enough to be lazy.
Charlie McCarthy
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Oh how I love to celebrate Lazy Day! I'm like you in that I have been getting lazier and lazier. Part of it is because it is so hot. But mostly because I am just not interested in doing anything! Guess that is lazy, huh?
I love Smores; having had one in a bit, but so tasty!
I could get used to a lazy day now and then. Since hubby leaves for work at 6:30 a.m. and I don't start work until 9:30 a.m., when I finish my chores for the day, I'll be a bit lazy until it is time for me to start work :)
