Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Giving Tuesday takes place on the Tuesday directly after American Thanksgiving, which in turn takes place on the 4th Thursday of November. Giving Tuesday was created to help the giving season get started, reminding people that there is more to holidays than consumerism and commercialization.
Giving Tuesday is a day dedicated to giving back. It’s a celebration of generosity!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
If you have much, give of your wealth; if you have little, give of your heart.
Proverb
There are so many ways to give, particularly this time of year. Organizations and churches put out pleas for gifts and food for the underprivileged. Our church usually has a Giving Tree on which they have placed the name of a child to buy a gift for. I know some people that select several names and give a gift to them.
It’s wonderful to see the generosity of so many that provide a gift to charities. Some do it because this is their last chance of the year to get a special credit on their income tax deductions. But remember: true giving comes from the heart.
It has been said there is a miracle that happens every time to those who really love; the more they give, the more they possess. You have to give before you can get.
Today’s pictures are from our Christmas in the Country.
I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday !
Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.

23 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
This year, lay a good foundation for years to come. As you unpack those Christmas decorations, take a look at the storage containers. Have they held up to the job? Are they easy to stack? If new storage boxes are in order, begin looking out for them as you shop for the season. This is the time to find bargains on storage tubs. I know I’ve found many red and green ones at half the price a container of that size normally costs. I for one do not care what color my storage containers are.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
For it is in giving that we receive.
St. Francis Of Assisi
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for 2 years and have now reached over 2000 gifts. On my way now to 3000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2273. for the generosity of many that give from their hearts
2274. for today, it is a gift from God.
2275. for the JOY found in giving. Remember: Giving is contagious. What you give always comes back.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
A hug is the perfect gift--one size fits all, and nobody minds if you exchange it.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

How cute with the pictures! Everyone looked bundled up! I think it is neat that there is Giving Tuesday; makes people remember to help others. Our church does gifts for foster children and just started a Christmas giving to help around the world with a project (I might blog about it later) but it is nice to see people involved helping those that need help.
