WELCOME WINTER
89 DAYS UNTIL SPRING !

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Look on the Bright Side Day. While it's true that today is the year's darkest, tomorrow starts the trend toward brightening things up again. In that spirit, try to see that your cup half full and try to find the positive on things that may appear negative. It calls upon us to look for something positive, out of an otherwise bad or sad situation. Often, a bad experience has positive lessons to be learned.
If you have a bad day yesterday, look on the bright side.... today is another day, and an optimistic one at that! Be optimistic and smile more today. Many times when one door closes, another one opens. And if you truly believe good things are bound to happen, they just may!
The pictures today are of some of my snowman collection over the years. Snowmen are such cheerful creatures and always make me smile.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
There's a bright spot in every dark cloud.
Bruce Beresford
This is one of my favorite days of the year. A day to encourage you to Look on the Bright Side. It’s the way I try to live and although it’s not always easy at all, every day may not be a good one, but there is something good to be found in every day.
We often think of celebrations as centering around special occasions, like Birthdays, Christmas, or other holidays. But there is no need to wait for those times. Everyday is a cause for celebration. The very fact that you are alive, the wondrous world around you, and the special people in your life are all reasons to rejoice.
When it really gets tough, what you always can do, is look at the bright side of things. the bright side of life. One of the best way I know to find the bright side is to count my blessings. Whenever things get down around here I look back and remember all the things I’ve got to be thankful for.
I hope you all have a restful and relaxing Sunday. The week ahead is going to be a busy one !
4 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
Here’s a recipe I found for an Impossibly Easy to Make Breakfast Bake for a Crowd
2 packages,12 oz each, bulk pork sausage
1 medium bell pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cups frozen hash brown potatoes
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup Bisquick mix
2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 eggs
Heat oven to 400°F. Grease rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches. Cook sausage, bell pepper and onion in 10 inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sausage is no longer pink; drain. Stir together sausage mixture, potatoes and 1 1/2 cups of the cheese in baking dish.
Stir Bisquick mix, milk, pepper and eggs until blended. Pour into baking dish.
Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 1 to 2 minutes longer or just until cheese is melted. Cool 5 minutes.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !

Such cute snowmen, Ma! So true after today slowly but surely we get a bit more light during the day! I know I'm looking forward to my afternoon rest after church today :) Enjoy yours!

Your snowmen are adorable, Ma!
I've made a conscious decision to adopt your tradition of identifying 3 reasons for 'thanksgiving' every day in '15 ... and only yesterday bought a sweet little journal for just that purpose. Thank you for the inspiration!
