Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
December 20th is Go Caroling Day. It is a wonderful, rewarding, and memory filled day. By far more popular decades ago, Christmas holiday caroling is a great opportunity to enjoy the holiday and appreciate its meaning.
Christmas caroling remains popular in many area and among many groups. Scouts and youth groups often partake in this special musical event. Even family parties and business parties sometimes produce an impromptu caroling event.
I hope you all enjoy Go Caroling Day to its fullest today!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
No winter lasts forever; no spring skips it's turn.
Hal Borland
We’re saying good bye to fall today. Tomorrow will officially be the start of winter. For me and several others, it already seems as if winter has been here for over a month now. With the record breaking low temps we had in November, winter began early here this year.
During winter I do live in hope. Hoping for the return of Springtime. I endeavor to find some good in every day and in the winter it becomes very difficult for me. I’m like the bear that wants to hibernate all winter long. Some days it seems as if I do.
I’ve been singing along with the Christmas songs on the radio for quite a while now and today I’m getting together with my dulcimer buddies to play some Christmas music. More than not when I get together with these two friends, the music to my ears is the fun and laughter we share. This will be the last time we’ll meet until sometime in April as we don’t like traveling much during the terrible winter weather we often have here. It’s another reason I look forward to Spring.
The long range for Christmas says we will have a white one! Snow lovers rejoice !
I hope you all have a super Saturday!
A kind word can warm three months of winter.

5 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
One suggestion I saw for preparing for the BIG day was to prepare a Christmas basket full of what you might need for Christmas morning gift opening. Things like scissors, a camera, trash bags and a Santa hat come in handy and it’s good to have them ready. I know I'd like to be prepared as I won’t want to miss a moment of the gift opening when our family celebrates Christmas.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
In the depths of winter I finally learned there was in me an invincible summer.
Albert Camus
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2324. for hope, where would be without it
2325. for Christmas music, I play it often
2326. for sweet memories of fall
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
Not much snow at all here today, but from a past winter
ADVICE FOR TODAY
If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.
Anne Dudley Bradstreet
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

I haven't been caroling in years, but always fun to go! I just found out the other day my sister in law played the dulcimer years ago; I know it is something you enjoy doing, Ma, I hope your get together with friends was a blast!

Love this picture with the grands! Why, the smiles are positively contagious!
A "white Christmas" sounds pretty heavenly; but I'm well aware of the risks. Please take real good care of yourself!
