WELCOME DECEMBER
December is World Aids Month, Bingo’s Birthday Month, National Drunk & Drugged Driving Prevention Month, National Write A Business Plan Month, National Tie Month,Operation Santa Paws, Quince and Watermelon Month, Root Vegetables and Exotic Fruits Month, Safe Toys and Gifts Month, Spiritual Literacy Month, Tomato and Winter Squash Month, Universal Human Rights Month and Worldwide Food Service Safety Month
Today is Eat a Red Apple Day. Apples are delicious. Apples are nutritious. That's a great combination. Apples date back to the garden of Eden. In that garden, the Bible tells us it was the Forbidden fruit.
It is really easy to participate in this special day. There are thousands of varieties of apples grown all over the planet. Your mission today, is to pick an apple among all of these varieties, and eat it.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Anyone can count the seeds in an apple. No one can count the apples in a seed.

I love apples and have them often. There is so much you can do with them. Eat them with slices dipped in caramel sauce, bake them up in a pie or cake, make applesauce or add them to casseroles for a tasty touch.
In the winter time my house tends to dry out and I’ve found that if I put a pot of water on the stove and simmer apple peals, orange rinds, cinnamon sticks and a few cloves not only puts some moisture back into the air but makes the house smell wonderful too.
They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away and it has been proven that they are very beneficial to our health. During the winter I keep apples and oranges on hand all the time. They are a healthy and tasty treat.
It’s the beginning of a new week and a new month today. This month will be a very busy but happy one. I really am going to try and put the emphasis on the happy part. The pictures today are of some of the grand’babes’ in December last year.
Hope you have a great start to this new week. Happy Monday!
24 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
Time to put away the remnants of your fall and Thanksgiving decor into well marked boxes or tubs. My neglected basement is quite cluttered right now with fall stuff and I’m still trying to find the Christmas things I want to put out. Many of the tubs I have stored there have things that I don’t use anymore. It’s definitely a day to sort things out.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
Proverbs 25:11
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for 2 years and have now reached over 2000 gifts. On my way now to 3000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2270. for simmering good smells on the stove, adding a little humidity to the air
2271. for apples and oranges too, they are very good for us and taste good too
2272. for joy found on a Monday morning, I’m still alive and kicking !
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Every thought is a seed. If you plant crab apples don't count on harvesting Golden Delicious.

So cute of the children from last year! I'm sure all have grown so much! I noticed a lot of people put out their Christmas decorations this past weekend, so good to get organized on putting away fall and welcoming Christmas :) I know I went through the bins we had a few weeks ago and thinned them out a bit. Not really going to decorate this year since we are moving so close after Christmas :)
I agree about apples. They are so tasty and so good for us!
