If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Why were the saints, saints? Because they were cheerful when it was difficult to be cheerful, patient when it was difficult to be patient; and because they pushed on when they wanted to stand still, and kept silent when they wanted to talk, and were agreeable when they wanted to be disagreeable. That was all. It was quite simple and always will be.

A Saint has a wide variety of meanings, depending on its usage and the denomination. The original Christian usage referred to any believer who is in Christ and in whom Christ dwells, whether in heaven or in earth
I don’t know about you but I have know some people that are like heavenly saints but who reside here on earth. I think there is a possibility that each and every one of us can become a saint. We become saints not by thinking about it, and certainly not by writing about it, but simply by doing it.
Many of the saints down through the ages echoed their love in their service of others. Reading about the lives of the saints might no longer be fashionable, but there is so much we can learn.
As we begin November it’s good remember with love those who were an important part of our lives. Their love touched our lives deeply and we mark it in a number of different ways. The best way I know to do that is to say THANKS! I’ll be looking for ways to do that all month long. November is Thankful Month.
The pictures today were taken last November. While the trees right now still have a few leaves left on them, soon they’ll all be gone. The pictures today were taken last November.
I hope you all have a super Saturday and can be thankful for it too!
FINAL WARNING !
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS TOMORROW.
It’s best to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed tonight.
53 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
Time takes on a slippery quality as the holiday season approaches. Being proactive by starting early saves time and stress as the season's pace quickens. Take major action against the seasonal time crunch with a preseason scheduling session. The goal: to arrange for all those little appointments that slip the mind so easily. Check out your calendars now.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The saint is the man who walks through the dark paths of the world, himself a light.
Felix Adler
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for 2 years and have now reached over 2000 gifts. On my way now to 3000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2180. for all the saintly people in my life
2181. for a loaf of banana bread with chocolate chips, I’ll be making another today
2182. for the little house wrens at the bird feeders, they do make me smile
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
If you must be in a hurry, then let it be according to the old adage, and hasten slowly.
Saint Vincent de Paul
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

I just can't believe it is November already! It is indeed a good month to be thankful!

My favorite month of the year!
Yes, I've been blessed to have known two individuals who embodied the term, "saint."
Were either aware I said that, they'd protest - but that was just a part of their charm. Heaven's a much better place for their presence!
