1 DAY UNTIL SPRING!

The miracle of the ‘Swallows' of Capistrano takes place each year at Mission San Juan Capistrano, on March 19th, St. Joseph’s Day. The faithful little birds wing their way from their winter home Argentina back to the most famous mission in California and the visitors from all parts of the world, and all walks of life, gather in great numbers to witness the 'miracle' of the return of the swallows.
Between March and October they can be seen building nests in the eaves. Due to urbanization, they seek out areas near water and food sources such as a concrete under pass or bridge near creeks. They start their migration back to Argentina in October.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Impossible situations can become possible miracles.
Robert H. Schuller
Here in Ohio we don’t have the return of the swallows but we did have the return of the buzzards. Every year on March 15 since 1957, the city of Hinckley Ohio has eagerly awaited the return of the buzzards at 'Buzzards’ Roost' at the Hinckley Reservation. They winter as far south as the tip of South America and return to the north to breed each year.
Nature is a miracle. How on earth either of these birds know to make such a long flight is one of those unexplained mysteries for sure. Only the good Lord could create such wonders.
At any rate it is another sign that spring is very near. It starts tomorrow as a matter of fact.
The pictures today were taken yesterday. There is very little snow left here and we can see that there still is grass in the yard. It gives us hope that Spring is indeed very near.
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Where there is great love there are always miracles.
Willa Cather
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached 1500 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1499. for the miracles in nature
1500. for a day to look around and see the beauty in the outdoors
1501. for the last of my left overs from the St. Patrick’s Day feast!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
The miracles of nature do not seem miracles because they are so common. If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

I do remember going to the Mission in San Juan Capistrano and seeing the swallows returning; it is pretty impressive! Good to see lots of green in your lawn and less snow!

Beautiful pictures with this post. Up here the return of the Canada Geese is one of the sure signs of spring. I've seen a few this past week, but not the big flocks of them yet.
Love your photos of the receding snow Pam! This is the first Winter here in the UK when we have not had even a whisper of snow. Plenty of rain, too much in fact, but no snow! I think the migration of birds is so wondrous and such a miracle that they do all these things instinctually! I love Barn Swallows. The tenacity of these wee creatures is so inspiring. xxoo
