11 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!

Get Over It Day falls on March 9th and just happens to be midway between Valentine's Day and April Fool's Day. That may just be a coincidence, but I don’t think so. Get Over It Day motivates people to finally get over those things they've been hanging on to. As many others have said before me, it’s time to just let go, and let God.
Breathe in, breathe out, and let it go.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go.

I hope you all remembered to turn your clocks ahead last night as Daylight Savings time began this morning. We let go of one hour of sleep and won’t be getting it back till sometime in November. I only wish my body clock could let go of that hour as easily as it was to turn the clock ahead one hour.
Letting go and moving on is a difficult, painful process. Bad relationships, bad decisions, we tend to revisit the moments when we were not so smart or when others were not so smart, beating ourselves up for our mistakes or blaming others for the ways they've hurt us
When you’ve done all you can do, sometimes we just need to let it go. Whether it be a thing or a person, letting go and letting God take care of is the best way to handle impossible situations.
I’ve let go of many things in my life and moved on. When you are as old as I am, holding on to all that baggage would really drag one down. More and more I’m living just one day at a time. Today is good, this moment is good. Yesterday is gone and never coming back. Tomorrow isn’t here yet and today is a gift ! That is why it is call the present. The present is what gives us those moments that take our breath away. The present moment is now.
It’s hard to believe that this week has flown by so fast and here it is Sunday again. Hopefully I’ll be off to church as usual. There’ve been too many Sundays this winter that the snow has held me back from going.
Hope you all have a restful and relaxing Sunday. Let go and Let God!
Letting Go
Author Unknown
To let go doesn't mean to stop caring;
It means I can't do it for someone else.
To let go is not to cut myself off...
It's the realization that I can't control another...
To let go is not to enable,
but to allow learning from natural consequences.
To let go is to admit powerlessness,
which means the outcome is not in my hands.
To let go is not to try and change or blame another,
I can only change myself.
To let go is not to care for, but to care about.
To let go is not to fix, but to be supportive.
To let go is not to judge,
but to allow another to be a human being.
To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes,
but to allow others to affect their own outcomes.
To let go is not to be protective,
It is to permit another to face reality.
To let go is not to deny, but to accept.
To let go is not to nag, scold, or argue,
but to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.
To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires,
but to take each day as it comes and cherish the moment.
To let go is not to criticize and regulate anyone,
but to try to become what I dream I can be.
To let go is not to regret the past,
but to grow and live for the future.
To let go is to fear less and love more.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
My hope is that from time to time you will let your minds be bold, and wear sombreros.
Paul Freund
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1469. for a wonderful birthday yesterday
1470. for my DD, and all my family that surprised me with a great party
1471. for Sundays, they do refresh and renew me.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
Trust is letting go of needing to know all the details before you open your heart.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

You are right Pam, letting go is the best thing. Holding onto things that hurt us, or make us feel bad, only hurts us more. Letting go is a part of forgiveness I believe.
Our clocks have stayed the same here in the UK. They won't go forward until the end of March. It's quite annoying to try to keep track!
Having said that it is a gorgeous spring day here today. Warm and sunny. WE are enjoying it. xxoo
A beautiful day here today feels more like spring. If we had a garden to plant I would be thinking about putting seed and plants in the ground. I have (in the past) put tomato plants in a pot, and if it turned off cold put them in the shed. I don't think I will do that this year. Take care. Jean
Glad you had a nice birthday and the surprise party from your family, Ma!
Great advice to let go and let God indeed! We all need to do more of that I believe!
betty
I'm loving the sun staying up longer since changing the clocks... :)
