4 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!
Sunrise:7:39 am
Sunset: 7:37 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Everything You Do is Right Day, March 16th, just might be a perfect day. Life is filled with ups and downs. Some days are good days. Some days are bad days. Most often, there's both good and bad in any given day. You take lifes ups and downs with a grain of salt. Every once in a while, a day comes along where everything you do goes well.....the perfect day!
Today you can relax. Do your best, and know that God is still in control. I hope everything you do goes right today and every day.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Give yourself a perfect day. Do what makes you happiest. Look upon what gives you joy. Speak to those who warm your heart. Listen to that which lifts your spirit. Surround yourself with sights and sounds and people who give you pleasure. For all the happiness you give to others all year long, give yourself a perfect day.

When you are doing what you enjoy and can be with the people you love, most any day is perfect. The simple pleasure of ordinary days are what really make life grand.
We need to make the best of the ordinary days we have right here right now. Some of the best memories are those everyday moments that glimmer simply because we took the time to notice the beauty all around us.
How easy it is to lose perspective on the beauty of normal until normal is gone. There is magic in ordinary days. Don’t put off happiness waiting for a perfect day. Each day is such a gift!
We’ll be seeing the Full Worm Moon in the sky tonight if the clouds stay away. It was given the name by the Algonquin tribes from New England to Lake Superior. At the time of this spring Moon, the ground begins to soften and earthworm casts reappear, inviting the return of robins. In some regions, this is also known as the Sap Moon, as it marks the time when maple sap begins to flow and the annual tapping of maple trees begins. Somewhere out there we all see the same old moon. Think of me as I think of you!
Our robins have been around for a few weeks now. I know they’ll be happy when there is a worm or two to be found. The few days above freezing that we’ve had should help!
Today is the 3rd Sunday dinner here at my house and I’ll be cooking up a feast for those in my family that can make it over.
I hope you all have a restful and relaxing Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The ordinary acts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest.
Thomas Moore
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1490. for the gift of an ordinary day
1491. for simple every day things to do
1492. for the beautiful full moon setting in the west this morning.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
This Day
This day's going to be a good one.
I'm alive and well.
This day's going to be a fine one.
I'll sit and rest a spell.
This day's going to be a great one.
I don't have to go to work.
This day's going to be a swell one.
I got some coffee to perk.
This day's going to be a fun one.
My bills are paid on time.
This day's going to be the best one.
I got some words to rhyme.
This day's going to be a happy one.
I got my attitude in check.
This day's going to be a praising one.
I'll give that old devil a run for his money.
This day's going to be a dancing one.
My feet feel fancy free.
This day's going to be a one of a kind.
'Cause it's my day and there's only one me.

I noticed it was going to be a full moon in a few days and was wondering what its name was; I am glad you tell us what they are; always good to learn something new. Glad to hear the robins are back around your area; sure sign spring is coming very soon! I bet it will be a great family dinner with whoever is at your table this afternoon! Was also excited to read Linda's comment about the sex of her grandbaby coming soon.

I remember when my Mom used to cook Sunday dinner & my oldest married brother, his wife, and his (then) two children used to come over too. That particular brother is 18yrs older than me so I was automatically "home" for each Sunday dinner during those times. I wish I had a picture of just one of those common ordinary Sundays, when my brother used to come, because they are long past now.
Maybe that would be a good blog post entry for you to write, Ma.... taking pictures of the ordinary days too, as well as the special occasions.
Have a wonderful dinner & time of fellowship with your family!
~Andrea

I love the Hallmark quote Pam. Life IS special occasion and to be celebrated, the bad and the good. I loved all of your thoughts here today. Spot on. That give yourself a perfect day thought is beautiful. I love the gifts you are counting, and just everything about this post. It is so uplifting! But then again, your posts always are. You should be a National Treasure! In any case you are a treasure to those of us who love you and read you! xxoo
