2 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!
Sunrise:7:34 am
Sunset: 7:37 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Did you know every March 18th is National AWKWARD Moments Day? Today is the day to celebrate the fact that we all have those moments when things just don't seem to go right and you just want to crawl under the table and hide. This life makes plenty of room for awkward moments. Remember to find humor, laughter and fun to cope with these most uncomfortable situations. Life is really too short to take things so seriously. So, if anything awkward happens on Awkward Moments Day, be sure to see the humor, of the situation, and have a good laugh about it, before moving on to the next one!
Happy Awkward Moments Day!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We do not remember days; we remember moments.
Cesare Pavese
We all have those moments where we think to ourselves, Did that really just happen? I think I take the prize when it comes to awkward moments. I’m always sticking my foot in my mouth for one and doing crazy things without thinking much and regretting it latter. I can say I’m very good at laughing at my self though. Life is too short to live with regrets.
There are plenty of people in my life that never let me forget those awkward times in my life and I guess I’m thankful for them. It makes me realize that like everyone else, I’m not perfect. I am not where I need to be, but thank God I am not where I used to be. That’s what Lent is all about. Coming to an understanding that we are weak and that God is our strength. He makes all things possible, if we believe.
Remember: When we stress, we're in the past or the future. The present is what it is. When you don't compare it to what was or assess how it will impact what will be, you stay in the moment and you're able to enjoy more easily enjoy the moments you're in and to be thankful for them.
I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.
Thornton Wilder
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1496. for being able to be thankful even in the awkward moments of my life
1497. for the things that have fallen properly into place, no awkward moments there
1498. for chance to learn something new from those awkward moments
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down.
Mary Pickford
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Don't let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life...
What profound wisdom in that one little sentence, Ma!! I want to remember that one always! Thanks for sharing it!

I loved that awkward moment one about typing, LOL. I've done that with my hands on the wrong keys, LOL, and looked up and saw the jumbled mess of letters :)
I too am one that seems to be creating awkward moments; I do enjoy the laughs later about them, so glad that there is a day to celebrate them.

Oh dear Pam, that photo of the cats made me laugh out loud! I live by that old idiom from Thumper's mom, if you can't say something good, dont' say anything at all! I sometimes feel like I am having a awkward life! haha I think we all do from time to time! Have a great Friday. (Yes, playing catch up yet again!) xxoo
