18 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!
Sunrise:7:00 am
Sunset: 6:18 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
March 2nd is Old Stuff Day. Sorry hoarders, this holiday is not about celebrating how much old stuff you have.
Instead, National Old Stuff Day is about taking a moment to recognize the same old stuff you do every day, and think about how you can break old routines. It’s all about kicking it up a notch or two. Seize the day, because tomorrow’s just more of the same old, same old.
Do something, anything, different today. You will be glad that you did!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Nobody is bored when he is trying to make something that is beautiful, or to discover something that is true.
William Inge
My shamrock plant is beginning to come to life with the longer daylight hours. At one point this winter it was down to only 2 little stems. So are a few of my other house plants. I even found a blossom on one and there are many buds so there will be more. Spring is coming inside my house even if there aren’t many signs of it at all outside.
We had a wonderful day yesterday at the party and thank the good Lord, everyone made it there safely and home again. I think everyone appreciated an occasion to celebrate. These winter days need a little cheering up.
Sometimes it does seem as if we do the same old stuff every day, but every day is truly worth celebrating! I’ve always loved ordinary days. They are the best! I used to think that only boring people got bored. Now I think that most people who are bored just need to change it up a little once in a while. They've just gotten stuck. If you find yourself stuck, think outside the box and look to new experiences that will ignite your passion for life. Celebrate your life.
I hope you all have a restful and relaxing Sunday, tomorrow is Monday and we’ll be back to the same old wonderful things once again!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Grasp your opportunities, no matter how poor your health; nothing is worse for your health than boredom.
Mignon McLaughlin,
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1451. for my house plants, blooming and growing
1452. for sunlight through the windows, warming things up inside
1453. for the joy of celebrating another new day!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.
Dorothy Parker
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma
You're blessed when you're content with just who you are—no more, no less. That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought

I like seeing all your blooming houseplants... and I like that Shamrock plant... I'm shaking things up around the house this weekend and I'm looking forward to lent so I can start some new good habits... Glad you had a fun, safe trip to the party... Have a Blessed Sunday! :)
Glad the party went well and the travels were not hard ones to get there. Cool with your shamrock plant blooming. I do think it is always good to mix things up a bit too rather than settle in same old routines, even if it is just setting the table every once in awhile with the nicer plates :)
betty
"Celebrate your life"... yes, MA, I needed that today... thank you so much!
I am thankful for the beautiful houseplants in my house, and I am thankful for my sweet husband who takes care of them!
Have a wonderful day!! :-)
