I think it is appropriate that this first Friday in March, which is also the first Friday in Lent this year, is dedicated to prayer.  Every one of my friends and family are always included in my prayers daily, but today I’ll be especially praying a prayer for our world and the special needs of all.  

Keeping our thoughts focused on God and not on our difficulties is ultimately the way we should all live.  Trusting that all is    is in His ever lasting care.  To know that even in our darkest moments we are not alone, gives us hope for the days ahead.

Father,
you have given all peoples
one common origin,
and your will is to gather them
as one family in yourself.
Fill the hearts of all women (and men)
with the fire of your love
and the desire to ensure
justice for all.

Hear the prayers offered you
by women throughout the world
for an end to all division,
and a human society
built on love and peace.

May we all join in a circle of prayer around the world praying for and with each other, for peace in our world. Our prayers today are never more needed than they are in these times!

PRAYER REQUEST

I received two prayer requests yesterday:

1.  I wanted to ask you if you could put a prayer request on your news letter for Prayers for a friend  who has recently found out that she has leukemia. It is the agressive type and she will be needing all the Prayer that she can get. Please lift her up :)

2.  A close friend of my daughter's just let her know that her grandmother had a bloody nose and it wouldn't stop bleeding so they took her to the hospital.  She is now in ICU and it doesn't look good.  I'm sure they would appreicate any help through prayer they can get.

Please join me in praying for both of these dear ones that they will be blessed with healing and restored health.  May the dear Lord bless them and guide the doctors caring for both of them too.

We pray all things in Jesus Name, Thy will be done Lord.

I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts.  I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting.  There is always, always something to be thankful for.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

 

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

 

Lord, hold our troops in

your loving hands.

Protect them as they protect us.

Bless them and their families for the

selfless acts they perform for us

in our time of need. I ask this in the

name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
