ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SEPTEMBER 9TH, 2011
It's FRIDAY!
TEDDY BEAR DAY
Today is Teddy Bear Day. A Teddy Bear is a special friend to children all over the world. He's cuddly. He makes you feel secure in an otherwise insecure world. He's lovable. Your Teddy Bear is both a companion and a comforter. And, he's not afraid of the dark. He'll keep you safe.
Spend the day and night with your teddy bear . Cuddle up to him. Talk to him. And, do all of your favorite things together.
No child should grow up without a teddy bear. If you know of any kid without one, use this day to buy a teddy bear for them.
As we become adults, some find it difficult to give up our teddy bears. We feel there is no reason to give him up. Some adults have their teddy bears around all their lives. Its perfectly normal....and okay
Have a happy Teddy Bear Day! Hug a teddy bear today!
Pooh, promise me you won't forget about me, ever. Not even when I am a hundred.
Pooh thought for a little. How old shall I be then?
Ninety-nine. Pooh nodded. I promise, he said.

WIENERSCHNITZEL DAY
In German, schnitzel means a boneless veal cutlet. Add bread crumbs and fry it, and you have Wiener Schnitzel. Variations of the dish exist in many cultures throughout the world.

6 veal cutlets
4 tablespoons oil, divided
2 lemons, cut into wedges
In shallow bowl, beat together milk, egg, spices and herbs and bouillon. Dip cutlets first in bread crumbs, then in egg mixture.
Heat 2 T. oil in skillet. Fry 3 cutlets at at time over low heat until browned on both sides. Repeat above with remaining oil and cutlets. Garnish with lemon wedges.
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU!
AROUND HOME
Teddy Bears are...
Teddy bears are the symbol of child-like innocence. They remind of us of being nurtured and cared for by others.
teddy bears remind us of a special person who loved us and brought us a teddy bear. Teddy bears remind us of the joy of being loved. They are a universal symbol of caring. A huggable, warm teddy bear brings the comfort of touch.
I found this old teddy called a Care Bear here at my house the other day and since it belonged to DS#6 I washed it and took it along with me to his house when I went the other day. Today I'll be traveling home and am hoping the rain stops. The little Red Hen didn't seem to like hydroplaning through some of the huge rain puddles on the road when I traveled up here on Wednesday.
DS#6 came through the surgery just fine. They did remove a couple of lumps from his lower back and think they could be fatty tumors or calcified tissue, but won't know until the biopsy is complete. We should hear results from that sometime next week. What ever the cause it was best they were removed. Now I'm praying for a complete and speedy recovery for him.
COUNTING THE DAYS
Thunder in the Fall foretells a cold Winter.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone near…

Wishing a speedy recovery for your son. Hopefully all will go well.
My 'teddy' is a stuffed owl. I put him on my bed so I'll remember to talk to him later.
