ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FEBRUARY 9TH, 2010
It's TUESDAY!
The front steps and walkways are cleared now from the last snow, but the weather people say more is on our way by evening and through tomorrow too. I personally think we’ve enough of that white stuff for now, but I don’t have a bit of control over it at all so I guess I’ll have to take whatever comes our way.
Take good care everyone!
THINKING
Each of us is unique, and each has our own contribution to make
I cannot do what you do, and you cannot do what I do, but together we can do something beautiful for God
Mother Teresa
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
If you make Monday leftover night, and use Friday for pizza night, then you might be more inclined to cook the rest of the week without feeling pressured
Tuesdays were often Pasta night at our house
with spaghetti being the # 1 pasta meal. It is one of the easiest dinners to put together too. A plate full of spaghetti, a tossed salad and some good crusty bread with butter is one of my favorite meals.
You can even used frozen ravioli and already prepared sauce to make a tasty supper. It also helps to have a frozen lasagna in the freezer when you are in a pinch too.
Wednesday is Sandwich Night and Thur
sday will be Breakfast for Dinner Night
I’ll have some recipes for you then.
PRAYERS
Lord, show us how best to use the time and talents you have given us, and lead us to show our gratitude to the many others that use those talents so wisely too.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!

This past Sunday evening I talked with DS#2 and DS#1 on the phone. I asked both to send some pictures which hopefully I’ll be sharing. DS#2 lives in the south and had been to a Mardi Gras parade. That is something I’ve nev
er seen before so he said he’d try to send pictures.
At DS#1’s house they’d been busy over the weekend with the kid’s projects for school so I’m hoping to see them. They also got a little more snow than we did so he got to use his snow blower. He said he also did 3 of the neighbors driveways so you know he was having fun.
I also had news from DS#5 and his wife on Mon
day evening. They’d been for the very first sonogram of the new baby they are expecting in September. DDIL#5 had said that twins tend to run in her family so they were anxious to find out if they were going to have one or two babies. The answer was ONE. No telling yet if it will be a boy or a girl but I favor the name Annabeth. We’ll see…
COUNTING THE DAYS
Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful; for beauty is God's handwriting -- a wayside sacrament. Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower, and thank God for it as a cup of blessing.

Oh ma, I just love pasta. I wish Todd did too. All your talk of it makes me think it is time to torture him with it again, tee hee!
Thanks MA. Now I know what I'll make for dinner tonight; pasta sounds great. And I love your idea of leftover Monday and pizza Friday.
No new snow for us lately. Just a week and a half of freezing temps. But this morning, it's lovely! Just above freezing, so I'm feeling spring again!
