JUST FOR TODAY
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
Just for today: I will start the day in gratitude, my first prayer will be Thank You, God! I am grateful for beauty and love, for surprises and excitement, for friendship and community, and for the presence of God in all
TODAY’S QUOTE
Feelings are much like waves, we can't stop them from coming but we can choose which one to surf.

IT’S TUESDAY !!
Monday is now history and we’ll be seeing what today brings our way. Tonight after work I have a hair cut and that’s about it for anything after work this week. I do have plenty to keep me busy here at home in the evenings.
DS#5 and his wife and their dogs are headed to the state fair this week. He’ll be there for two weeks doing his caricature sketching. I’ll be praying for safe travels for them and for a successful time of it all.
We are supposed to have a warm and mostly sunny day today! After the last 2 weeks of rain and cool temps I’m sure it’ll feel much more like summer.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
O God, help us trust you so we can encourage others
when they face troubling times.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

TODAY’S SMILE
Don't let anyone tell you you're getting old.
Squash their toes with your rocker.
The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.
Some people try to turn back their odometers . . . not me . . .I want people to know why I look like this.
I've traveled a long way and some of the roads were not paved.
You know you're getting old when everything either dries up or starts to leak.
Life would be infinitely happier if we could only be born at the age of 80 and gradually approach 18.
Within I do not find wrinkles and used heart, but unspent youth.
One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it's such a nice change from being young.
One must wait until evening to see how splendid the day has been.
Age seldom arrives smoothly or quickly.
It's more often a succession of jerks.
Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.
TODAY’S REFLECTION
Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field." He answered, "He who sows the good seed is the Son of man; the field is the world, and the good seed means the sons of the kingdom; the weeds are the sons of the evil one
Matthew 13: 36-38
Are you quick to judge the faults of others? Jesus’ parable teaches us patience lest we judge before the time is right. Jesus also warns that there is an enemy who seeks to destroy the good seed of his word before it can bear fruit. Both good and evil can be sown in our hearts like tiny seeds which germinate, and in due time yield a harvest of good or bad fruit. We must stand guard lest evil take root in our hearts and corrupt us.
