TODAY'S THOUGHT
The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions, and not on our circumstances. We carry the seeds of the one or the other about with us in our minds wherever we go

IT’S MONDAY !!
And
Happy Anniversary to DD and her hubby!
May the dear Lord Bless you both today and always.
Their anniversary was yesterday but I’m sending good wishes their way today as I didn’t do a newsletter on Sunday.
It’s back to work once more. It was a great wonderful weekend and I have to say I need many more of them too. We did do a little work as the campers needed scrubbing down. They do get dirty sitting there in my little place in the woods. DS#1 and his wife were a blessing to me as I’d never be able to do it on my own. DSIL also helped by taking down the vent so I could get that washed out too.
Our Princess and Prince charming went home with DD and her hubby from the campground and are spending the week with DS#5 and his wife. It seems they are having a combo art camp and Star Wars adventure with them. DD and DSIL will take them back to their mom and dad on Friday when they return to the campground.
This week will be another short work week as Friday is another vacation day. I am really enjoying a 4 day work week. I will have a few more yet to come this summer and when camping season is over I’ll have to return to normal but for now I’ll just be counting my blessings.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Lord, no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has conceived the things you have prepared for those who love you. Set us ablaze with the fire of the Holy Spirit, that we may love you in and above all things and so receive the rewards you have promised us through Christ our Lord.
Amen

TODAY’S SMILE
The Grape Stem
Once upon a time there was a little grape stem. This stem was so glad to be alive ...She drank water and minerals from the soil and grew and grew She was young and strong and could manage quite well ... All by Herself
But then, the Wind was cruel, the rain was harsh, the snow was not one bit understanding, and the little grape stem suffered
She drooped, weak and suffering. It would be so easy to stop trying to grow, to stop trying to live. And the grape stem was poor! The winter was long, and the stem was weary. But then the little grape stem heard a voice. It was another grape stem calling out to her ... "Here, reach out ... hang on to me."
But the stem hesitated. "What would this mean?" she thought For you see, the little stem had always managed quite well, ... All by herself. But then, every so cautiously, she reached out towards the other grape stem. "See, I can help you" it said. "Just wind your tendrils about me and I will help you lift your head."
And the little stem trusted ...and suddenly she could stand straight again. The wind came ... and the rain ... and the snow, But when it came, the little grape stem was clinging to many other stems. And although the stems were swayed by the wind ... and frozen by the snow,
They stood strongly united to each other. And in their untired strength ... they could smile and grow. And then, one day the little stem looked down and saw a tiny stem, swaying, frightened. And our little grape stem said, "Here, hang on ... I will help you."
And the other stem reached up to our grape stem... And together all the stems grew ... Leaves budded ... flowers bloomed ... And finally, grapes formed And the grapes fed many.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Good people have good things in their hearts
Matthew 12:35
Name the ten wealthiest men in the world. Name eight people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer prize.
How did you do? I didn’t do well either. With the exception of you trivia hounds, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday too well. Surprising how quickly we forget, isn’t it? And what I’ve mentioned above are no second-rate achievements. These are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten.
Here’s another quiz. See how you do on this one.
Name ten people who have taught you something worthwhile. Name five friends who have helped you in a difficult time.
Easier? It was for me, too. The lesson? The people who make a difference are not the ones with the credentials, but the ones with the concern
