. . . learn something new, then teach it to someone
. . . tell someone you're thinking of them
. . . hug a loved one

than to just say "hi"

IT’S THURSDAY !!
As I’ll miss doing a newsletter for the 4th of July due to being away for the weekend, I’d like to wish you all a happy weekend. The weather is supposed to be very nice here in northern Ohio. The rain will finally move out of the way for some sunshine and very mild temps.
Right after work today I’ll head out to the campground. I guess DS#1 and family and DS#5 and his wife will be there too as we all have Friday off from work and DS#3 and family will be joining us at some point this weekend too. DD and her hubby are off to visit his relatives for the weekend so they won’t be there. As far as I know the rest of my family will be spending the weekend at their homes.
As always you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
Take good care all!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Help us, O Lord, to finish the good work here begun. Strengthen our efforts to blot out ignorance and prejudice, and to abolish poverty and crime. And hasten the day when all our people, with many voices in one united chorus will glorify your holy name
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!

TODAY’S SMILE
Dave... walking with a friend said to that friend, I'm a walking economy.
The friend replied, How so?
My hair line is in recession, my stomach is a victim of inflation, and both of these together are putting me into a deep depression!
Know what I mean???

Don't Squat With Yer Spurs On, A Cowboy's Guide To Life
Don't worry about bitin' off more than you can chew.
Your mouth is probably a whole lot bigger'n you think.
If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some
influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.
Never ask a man the size of his spread.
After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so
good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter
came along and shot him. The moral: when you're full
of bull, keep your mouth shut.
If you find yourself in a hole the first thing to dois stop diggin'.
It don't take a genius to spot a goat in a flock of sheep.
Never ask a barber if he thinks you need a haircut.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that
comes from bad judgment.
Always drink upstream from the herd.
Never drop your gun to hug a grizzly.
If you're ridin' ahead of the herd, take a look back
every now and then to make sure it's still there.
The best way to have a quiche for dinner is to make it
up and put it in the oven to bake at 325 degrees.
Meanwhile, get out a large T-bone, grill it, and when
it's done, eat it. As for the quiche, continue to let it
bake, but otherwise ignore it.
When you're throwin' your weight around, be ready to
have it thrown around by somebody else.
Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier'n puttin' it back.
Always take a good look at what you're about to eat.
It's not so important to know what it is, but it's
critical to know what it was.
The quickest way to double your money is to fold it
over and put it back in your pocket.
Never miss a good chance to shut up.
The very last one for today…
Why God Never Received A PHD
He had only one major publication.
It was in Hebrew.
It had no references.
It wasn't published in a refereed journal.
Some even doubt he wrote it by himself.
It may be true that he created the world, but what has he done since then?
The scientific community has had a hard time replicating his results.
He never applied to the ethics board for permission to use human subjects.
He rarely came to class, just told students to read the book.
Some say he had his son teach the class.
He expelled his first two students for learning.
Although there were only 10 requirements, most of his students failed his tests.
His office hours were infrequent and often held on limited access mountain tops.
TODAY’S REFLECTION
The water I give will become a spring of water gushing inside…
giving eternal life
John 4:13
Deprive your body of necessary fluid, and your body will tell you.
Deprive your soul of spiritual water, and you soul will tell you. Dehydrated hearts send desperate messages. Snarling tempers. Waves of worry. Growling mastodons of guilt and fear. You think God wants you to live with these? Hopelessness. Sleeplessness. Loneliness. Resentment. Irritability. Insecurity. These are warnings. Symptoms of dryness deep within.
Treat your soul as you treat your thirst. Take a gulp. Imbibe moisture. Flood your heart with a good swallow of water. Where do you find water for the soul?
If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

If you want to be safe on the Fourth, don't buy a fifth on the Third
