TODAY'S THOUGHT
For peace of mind, resign as general manager of the universe
Larry Eisenberg
JUST FOR TODAY
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
Just for today: I will look for blessings, and whenever a surprise blessing causes me to smile, I will know that it is the activity of grace. Grace inspires me to bless others.
TODAY’S QUOTE
Let God's promises shine on your problems

IT’S TUESDAY !!
I’m always thankful when Monday is done and over with. I had a busy one for sure and the good Lord saw me through it all once again. I’m saying that because if you are reading this it means I survived and it’s Tuesday.
We are supposed to have rain for the next couple of days and then the rest of the week though the weekend seems to have a slight chance of rain too.
Tonight is my dulcimer night with my friends. You know we’ve been doing this for a lot of years now (well over 20) and it gives a reason to get together too. Often schedules get so busy that we don’t make time to do just that.
The rest of the evenings this week will be spent just catching up on things around the house and getting ready for the weekend.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
God of the limitless universe, thank you for the wonderful world
you allow us to enjoy
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

This is Make Your Own Pop Tart Day
Confess. You loved pop tarts as a kid. Maybe you still do but won't admit it out loud. Let's face it, they really are not good for you.
Pop Tarts
Dough
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup butter, softened
3 tbsp. cold water
FillingJam (your choice)
Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
Milk to thin
Sprinkles
1. Preheat oven to 450ºF. Combine flour and salt in a large bowl. Add shortening and butter and blend with a fork, pastry cutter, or your hands. Blend until mixture is fairly coarse. Add water, 1 tbsp at a time, gently mixing dough after each addiction until dough forms a ball.
2. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and roll into a square/rectangle. Cut out long strips about 2 inches wide and 3 inches long. Repeat until dough runs out.
3. Take one pie crust rectangle and lace 1 tsp of jam on top. Cover with another piece of pie crust and crimp all four edges. Repeat with the rest of dough. Place pop tarts on a baking sheet with parchment paper, and bake for 7-8 minutes.
4. While pop-tarts are baking, make glaze. Place powdered sugar in a bowl. Pour milk slowing until it has a consistency of really thick syrup. 1/2 tbsp to 1 tbsp might be enough.
5. Once pop-tarts are done and cooled, top with glaze. Sprinkle and decorate with colorful sprinkle.

MEMO FROM GOD:
I am God.Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. It will be addressed in My time, not yours.
Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it.If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege. Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years. Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return. Should you grieve the passing of another weekend;
Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk. Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity. Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities;
Remember, things could be worse. You could be them!

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to go forward.
Exodus 14:15
We’ve probably all heard about the power of positive thinking: that we can achieve success or happiness by looking at our lives in a positive way and visualizing good results. Was this what God was saying to Moses when he encouraged the Israelites to stop complaining and move forward? Not exactly. God wanted his people to remember and trust who he is, and then choose to act based on that truth
Like the Israelites, we all know how easy it is to complain or grumble… Take some time today to let the Holy Spirit refresh your memory
With memories rekindled by God’s love, you will be much more eager to trust and follow him in the future
