TODAY'S THOUGHT

JUST FOR TODAY
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
Just for today: I will I take a few moments of rest from all activities--from thinking and talking, looking and doing--and become still. The peace I experience in the quiet of this sacred moment brings respite and renewal, for great strength flows from the peace of God within
TODAY’S QUOTE
Since you cannot do good to all, you are to pay special regard to those who, by the accidents of time, or place, or circumstances, are brought into closer connection with you

IT’S THURSDAY !!
This is the last work day for me this week. I’ll be taking off for the campground after work today. Next week I have to work a full 5 day work week and that is going to be tough for sure.
We have a few chances for rain Friday and Saturday it seems. Hopefully that will by pass us as it often does.
Two of DS#1’s children have been busy at DS#5’s this week and will be returning to the campground with DD and her hubby on Friday. I have a feeling they are going to be some tired out campers this weekend. But I’m sure they had loads of fun.
I hope your weekend is filled with some good R & R.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERSDear God, thank you for the Bible and all the riches it contains. Help us to go on learning from it as long as we live. In Jesus' name we pray
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!

TODAY’S SMILE
Two men went fishing. One was an experienced fisherman, the other wasn't. Every time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to keep it fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw it back.
The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of seeing the man waste good fish. "Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish you catch?" he asked.
The inexperienced fisherman replied, "I only have a small frying pan."
Sometimes, like that fisherman, we throwback the big plans, big dreams, big jobs, big opportunities that God gives us. Our faith is too small.
TODAY’S REFLECTIONCome to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light
Matthew 11:28-30
What does the yoke of Jesus refer to in the gospel? The Jews used the image of a yoke to express submission to God. They spoke of the yoke of the law, the yoke of the commandments, the yoke of the kingdom, the yoke of God. Jesus says his yoke is "easy". To be yoked with Jesus is to be united with him in a relationship of love, trust, and obedience
Jesus offers us a new kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy. In his kingdom sins are not only forgiven but removed, and eternal life is poured out for all its citizens
