ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SATURDAY, JULY 5TH, 2014
79 DAYS UNTIL FALL
Sunrise: 6:01 am
Sunset: 9:05 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Today is Workaholics Day. It recognizes the guy, or gal, who works all of the time....... even during holidays. While just about everyone is enjoying the Fourth of July holiday weekend, the Workaholic is off working on some project. He can't relax. It's not in his nature. He's addicted to work. It's not necessarily work out of need.
All Work and no play, makes John a dull boy.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
God didn't do it all in one day. What makes me think I can?
Holiday weekends like this one are meant for everyone to relax and enjoy the good things we all have and to be thankful for them too. Rest is needed for anyone in order to do their best. So I’m hoping you are doing just that…getting some rest and relaxation too.
There’s more to life than work, relaxing is important, and stress is a major problem. Relaxing and being lazy are necessary to good health and happiness. Our bodies and minds need to recuperate each day and week, and if we don’t have this downtime eventually something will go wrong: we’ll burn out or get sick.
The best form of relaxation is finding and participating in something that brings you joy. Whether it be alone or with others, find whatever is it that brings you relaxation and peace.
I hope you all have a super Saturday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the blue sky, is by no means waste of time.
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1800 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
