ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Fight Procrastination Day which is a day for people take charge of their procrastination problem and to find ways to combat the never ending urge to put off important tasks for another day.
Every once in a while we come across a task we rather not do. It could be something simple as cleaning up our desk or ordering a birthday present or as complex as writing a paper for class or finish cleaning out the garage. When it comes to daunting, boring or important tasks we have all procrastinated by doing something else.
Procrastination does not always have disastrous consequences. Most people who procrastinate tend to finish the task at hand at the last moment. Some bevelive sometimes procrastination can be a sign of a perfectionist personality.
Sometimes however procrastination can become a problem. Studies have shown that habitual procrastination increases stress and anxiety, reduces productivity and can have a negative impact on a persons job performance.
To celebrate this holiday, get your to do list now and start crossing off the tasks and don’t forget to reward yourself for tasks completed on time.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side

You may delay, but time will not, and lost time is never found again.
Benjamin Franklin
I’m a procrastinator and I do put off unpleasant tasks as long as I can, till eventually I have to do them, or else. There’s no one else who will do them for me. I’m the only one here and have to do whatever gets done.
So today I’ll get out my lists and see what I can possibly get done this week. Sunday’s are my day of rest so I’ll plan out the week ahead. There is always plenty to do and the lists do help keep me on track. Seeing what needs to be done written out on a list helps a lot. I love to cross them off and see things completed.
One thing I seem to put off more than others here is changing the sheets on the bed. I used to change them every week without fail so I don’t know what happened to make that change. When I woke Saturday morning, I was quite chilly. So I guess it’s time to put the flannel sheets back on the bed. I don’t like being chilly and hating to get out of bed. I do have a quilt at the end of the bed that I could have pulled up for warmth, but didn’t even think of that. It’s been hot so I’m not used to the idea at all. But the days ahead will be cooler at night even though we’ll warm up during the day.
I almost wish I’d decided to make a pot of chili instead of the frittata I’ve made for the weekend. But I’ll save that for later on. At least I can now turn the oven on and it’ll feel good.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

In a moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing to do, the next best thing is the wrong thing and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

ADVICE FOR TODAY
My advice is to never do tomorrow what you can do today. Procrastination is the thief of time.

Hope you take some time to rest and relax today!
I'm going to rest today and make my list too, lots of stuff I've been putting off lately. Enjoy your Sunday :)
Despite my good intentions, I'm just awful about keeping up with the housecleaning. Thank goodness for the occasional guest. (LOL) I, too, love my daily and weekly lists. Another blogger -- I can't remember who right now -- calls hers "Possibility" lists instead of the sterner-sounding, "To Do." I'm going to start doing the same thing!
I don't procrastinate too much because I like to get it done and be done with it. Always a good feeling to cross something off the list then I can be lazy lol. Still very hot here. We won't put a blanket on the bed until end of October at the earliest. Have a nice Sunday Ma!

I am like you! I used to change the sheets every single week. Not so much anymore. Not sure why. Some times I change them often and sometimes I don't. I put the flannel sheets on the first of October - no matter what! But you are in a colder climate than I and I envy that sometimes.
