ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 2ND, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.
18 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER
Sunrise: 5:57am
Sunset: 8:55 pm
Life is a special occasion!!
Hallmark
Today is National Bubba Day which honors anyone called Bubba by birth or as a nickname. Bubba is often to first born sons or sometimes older brothers. It is a bit more than just a name, it marks the position and importance in a family. A BUBBA can also be a male friend, who is close to someone as a real brother would be.
A famous Bubba was William Jefferson Bubba Clinton, the 42nd president of the US. In the South of the United States plenty of men are called Bubba by their family and Friends . In Forest Gump, the famous movie with Tom Hanks, his best and only friend is called Bubba, too.
It’s a tradition from the South, but the real origin of the initiator of National Bubba Day is unknown.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
My mama always said, Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.
Forest Gump
In our case, Bubba is my youngest son, He was given that name by his brothers and sister. My Dad said that in Hungarian Bubba means, beloved. They all loved him and spoiled him rotten when he was a baby. He didn’t even talk until he was two years old because all he needed to do was point and they would get him whatever he wanted. Even his nephews and nieces call him Uncle Bubba. They don’t don’t realize he actually has another name. Now that he’s grown up everyone still loves him. He’s a very lovable kind of guy. That is who the pictures are of today, our Bubba, DS#6
It’s to be another beautiful day in the neighborhood today. Sunny and in the 80’s. I’m so glad our warm weather is here. It feels so good to get out and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine! I’ll be out and getting that much needed exercise Whether I walk or ride my bike, It’s going to be a pleasure to get out and about.
My weekend leftovers are gone and I didn’t do Taco Tuesday, so today it’s time for me to cook up something good to eat. So today I’m going for Wings Wednesday. Not actually wings, but chicken anyway. I’m going for Chicken Paremsan make with chicken patties
Quick and Easy Chicken Parmesan
4 to 6 breaded chicken patties
Spaghetti suase
Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Pan fry Chicken Patties on both sides until slightly golden brown in oil. Cover a bit to cook through.
Spray a baking dish with cooking spray and add drizzle of oil , Add patties in a single layer.
Spread with spaghetti sauce and then cheese. Bake at 400 degrees until cheese is melted.
Serve over spaghetti and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
It’s quick and it’s easy and it’s delicious
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!

We call son2 Goobie. So the grandkids call him Uncle Goob. 😀
I don't recall having heard the name "Bubba" til I moved to West Texas for college. Yep, there were more than a few of 'em; all good-natured. Had to smile where you wrote about his brothers and sister giving him that nickname as a baby. Beloved. How cool is that?!
Happy Bubba Day to BUBBA!
