ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY, JUNE 15TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is SMILE POWER DAY which gives us a chance to give everyone you see a huge smile. A smile is a facial expression formed by flexing the muscles near both ends of the mouth and by flexing the muscles throughout the mouth. Among humans it is an expression of pleasure sociability, happiness, or amusement.
Smiling is something that is understood by everyone despite culture, or religion. It is internationally known. Cross cultural studies have shown tht smiling is a means of communication throughout the world. A smile can be spontaneous or artificial.
When you smile at someone you are telling them they are valued and worth the smile you just gave them. Smiles are morale boosters and confidence builders.
Challenge yourself to smile more often today and make them genuine.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side

There are many reasons why it is important to live your life with a smile. Smiling has powerful effects on our brains, bodies and the people around us.
They can make you feel better, make you more attractive and you can make the world a better place just by smiling more often

These days of wearing face masks make it impossible to share a smile so many have taken to drawing a smile on their mask. That’s a good idea but so is holding up a smile sign for all to see. The picture of above is of one of my grandchildren holding such a sign that they happened to get at McDonalds a few years ago. It made me smile back at her for sure.
The good news is that it’s warming up, which is good after the chilly weekend we had. We’re to to return to summertime temps, but it’s not going to be so hot as to be miserable.
It’s going to be a good week to get out and get the yard work done and get some much needed exercise too.
The pictures today are of some of my smiling family. They always make me happy!
My BIL continues to improve. But so far they’ve not been able to find anything wrong with him. Both the cardiologist and neurologist have said he is fine. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
***BIG SMILE***
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

I have made a effort to do this but these masks make it pretty hard.
Great smiles in the pictures Ma!! So glad to hear your BIL is doing better!! People are clever with what they have on masks these days but it does take away from seeing someone smiling at you.
Sending a virtual smile to you!

We (Bible study gals) were just talking about that this morning. So difficult to 'read' someone's expression when they're behind a mask. Like you suggested, someone said we need to draw a smile on the front of our masks. There's sure some clever ones out there!
Smiles from the Southlands!
