Today is Forget Me Not Day which reminds us to never forget the important people in our life and let them know that they are never forgotten. It is also a day that celebrates the flower, Forget Me Not.
This day was created in 1921 to remind Americans of the sacrifices returning soldiers have made of body, blood and limb. It originally raised funds for services where there were none for returning soldiers by the sale of Forget Me Nots.

We should never forget the people that have sacrificed so much for our country. Our military do so much we should never forget. Just as do our family and friends that do so much to brighten our days, should never be forgotten. It’s important to show our appreciation.
Two words THANK YOU! are rarely used but mean so much, should be used often. They shouldn’t be saved until it’s too late. Say them often and mean them.
It’s been a cold week here and today we’re supposed to be warming up a bit with temps in the 40’s . It’s not something to shout about, but that is better than below freezing. Winter hats, gloves, scarves and coats are needed. Keep warm everyone!
Today’s pictures are of yesterday’s party. A big THANK YOU to DS#5 and his wife who did a great job of making a wonderful day of it. Every one had fun, but especially the kids!

It did look like fun and yum on those cupcakes! I like Forget Me Not day. Good to remember those who faithfully serve(d) our country no matter what day of the year it is :)
