ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Almost anything can be improved with the addition of bacon.
Jasper Florde
One of my favorite greasy foods is bacon, so that is what I’ll be having today. A grilled cheese with bacon always hits the spot for me. I also like bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwiches and then there is fried cabbage with bacon that makes a tasty meal too.
There are so many ways to use bacon. Even salads are great with bacon. and this recipe is one of the best I’ve had in awhile.
Wilted Spinach Salad
6 cups spinach, washed, drained and torn into bite side pieces
1/4 c. sliced green onion
3 hard boiled eggs, chopped
5 slices bacon, chopped
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Combine spinach, onions and eggs in large salad bowl.
Cook bacon in skillet until crispy, remove bacon and drain on paper towels.
Add vinegar, water, sugar said and pepper to bacon drippings. Heat to boiling, stirring to blend.
Pour over spinach mixture and toss gently
Sprinkle with bacon.
The week is quickly winding down but so far I’ve manage to keep pace with what I’ve got to do. Nothing is finished but is a work in progress. Matter of fact so am I!
Seems like when I think something is done, it’s time to do it all over again. It’s only me here but still there is always something needs to be done. Today it’s the yard work for me. Leaves are falling but there is a lot left to fall.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday
COUNTING MY GIFTS
For today and its blessings, I owe the world an attitude of gratitude.

ADVICE FOR TODAY
Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.

A bit of love from someone dear…

I can never stop with just one piece of bacon.
Oh yes.... bacon!!! That will definitely be my greasy indulgence too, MA! I found myself nodding my head up & down with each recipe you described. Yes... indeed... I love them all. And today is yard work for me too, as begrudgingly as I say that. I'm heading out in a few minutes to pick up my ordered groceries from Walmart and then it will be yard work until noon. Hopefully it looks like I've made some progress when I'm done. You too. Lovingly, Andrea xoxo
I love french fries and bacon and so many other greasy things. A little bit in moderation is the way to go!

Why is it I wonder, all that's delicious is soooo bad? My biggest temptations are fried onion rings and nachos. (No, not together!) That Caramel Vanilla Creme coffee sounds wonderfully comforting on these cool mornings!
