ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.
William Jones
We all can make a difference in our world every day. We can do things both large and small, for others and for ourselves. There are so many ways to help others and sometimes the simplest things make the biggest difference.
What we do makes a difference. Every action, every choice, every day. None of us can change the entire world all by ourselves, but make small changes to our own lives and encouraging others to do the same is like a snowball effect that will change the entire planet in time.
There are many ways to donate your time to others. There are opportunities for every age, profession and physical ability. It doesn’t take a lot of effort to make a difference.
Holiday tip for the day: Get ready for Advent
With the days until Christmas getting shorter, it is time to get ready for Advent. It may seem far away, but with everything else going on, it’s another of the many things we need to be prepared for. It’s time to order or buy Advent Calendars. This year Advent begins December 2nd, the first Sunday after Thanksgiving. Remember the reason for the season! Advent helps us to prepare for Christmas.
With having had workmen here outside all week, I’m hoping today to get out and do a bit of shopping. I wanted to be home with the workmen around. They managed to get it all done by the end of the day yesterday, so now I can feel free to leave.
DDIL #6 sent pictures of their recent adventure at Boo at the Zoo, so that is what I’m sharing today. Looks like they had a great time.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

You make a difference to me!
Those Boos at the Zoo can be fun! I know we went to several of them when the kids were younger. I do agree it is important to get out there and serve in some capacity to help others. We all need to do that to make the world a better place.

Another super reminder! So timely, given events on our Gulf coast. I'm not always able to donate $$$, but have an opportunity to join our church's "Loaves and Fishes" ministry, preparing meals for homebound folks in the community.
Darling pix of your babes! :)
Thank you for the Advent reminder, MA. Yes, it will be here before we know it. And I love the pictures of the little ones. There's nothing sweeter than children in their trick-or-treat costumes. Lovingly, Andrea xoxo
