ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is the full moon of October, the Hunters Moon which is the full Moon after the Harvest Moon. The Alqonqine Native American tribes referred to October’s moon as the Hunters Moon because it was time to go hunting in preparation for winter. Because the Hunter’s Moon rises around sunset near the horizon, it may appear bigger and more orange than your typical Moon. but this is just an illusion.
From the full Moon through November 3rd, we experience the darkest mornings of the year. Sunday, November 4th, brings Daylight Saving Time to an end at 2 am. Before you go to bed Saturday night on the 3rd, fall back one hour, making the change to Standard Time.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We all live under the same sky, but we don’t all have the same horizon.
Konrad Adenauer
Unlike many, I always love to see the full moon come. It always reminds me that no matter how far away we may be from each other, we all see the same moon, and somehow that makes me feel closer to the ones I love.
More than not Full Mooon days are good ones for me. But many say it’s a day that things often go wrong. Hospitals and schools seem to be the most affected. I’ve come to realize that bad things happen when we least expect them and on the bright side, good things happen when we least expect them too. We should just take things as they come and do the best with what we’ve got. I’m thankful for everyday, it’s a gift to all.
Today’s holiday tip: Keep an eye on the calendar
If you keep track of commitments, events and activities on your calendar it makes it easier to get there. The number one way to cut stress is to keep an eye on the calendar. My calendar keeps me on track and I’d be lost without it. However I have learned that I have to look at it and plan ahead. Every now and then I forget and then have to rush to catch up,
Today is my day to get out and do the weekly shopping. I checked the Tuesday ads and know just where I need to go. With that in mind, shopping will be easier too. It’s easy to get off track if I don’t have my list. I wind up buying things I don’t need and forget things I do need.
Today’s pictures are more of the lovely days we had in late October last year.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday

Shoot for the moon and if you miss you will still be among the stars.

I'll be thinking of all of you when I look at moon, maybe you could think of me too.
Should be a clear night tonight here, so I'll definitely look for the moon and think of you, Ma! I can't believe its coming up to Daylight Savings already. We don't do it here in Arizona, but it does affect us in that families will be at a different time than we are used to contacting them at.

I love full moons! Troubles are just a part of life. We all have them. But as you tell us every single day - look on the bright side! There is always a bright side. And I love how you say if we can’t find it - then polish the dull side!
I didn’t realize the darkest morning information......is it wrong that I love dark? No idea why except that I used to get terrible headaches and the light hurt. I don’t get those headaches anymore but I still find comfort in the dark. I also like rain and weather!
I keep a kitchen planner on my counter and write everything I need to do in it! Then I carry a pocket sized one for my purse. If I write it on the calendar it’s as good as done! But if I don’t, I forget all about it!
Happy Wednesday to you, my friend!
Loved your thoughts on moons, and your lovely pictures of last October! What cute little trick,or treaters. Likevyou i brung a list with me when I shop or I also bring home things I don’t need and forget the things I do! We are also trying to eat simpler these days. Love all thatbyou share Pam! Thanks for everything! 💘🙏
There is Proposition 7 on Calif. ballot in favor of restoring Daylight Saving Time to Federal Law, like Arizona and Hawaii.
That would be awfully nice.
We always watch the moon and note whether it is, for example, a waxing gibbous or waning crescent. the full moon is exciting.
I love your outlook on life and everything. What a wonderful blog and your wonderful disposition on life. Great pictures, but I haven't seen a warm enough Halloween for the kids to go out in without their coats in a very long time :( I love all holidays & omg only 60 what days until Christmas? I'm a great gramma of 2 1/2, a grandma of 12 & mama of 5 (one has passed on who I miss every day of my life since she left). You sound like a wonderful person and I hope we can be great friends. Have a great day and a wonderful week & a glorious weekend. May the Lord shine down upon you always! HUGS
What a super outlook on the (supposed) powers of a full moon! Silly, but when I was younger I didn't want to look directly at it because of that Sinatra song, "Old Devil Moon."
Because our sky is clearing, I hope to catch a glimpse tonight. No, scratch that! … I'm making a point look and think of you, thinking of us. What a comforting feeling! Hugs!
