ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Evaluate Your Life Day, which gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect upon our life, where it’s been and where it’s going.
The time comes in every life where we have to take accounting, a reckoning of the things we’ve done, progress we’ve made and the path we’re on. Sometimes we need to make changes and maybe we’ll find out that we are making the progress we wanted to. Most likely it’ll windup somewhere in between.
Without a regular check in, we wouldn’t know what to plan for the future. The best way to determine if you’ve got your priories straight is to take time now and reevaluate them.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
How different our lives are when we really know what is deeply important to us, and keeping that picture in mind, we manage ourselves each day to be and to do what really matters.
Stephen R. Covey
It’s always a good thing to get your priorities straight. I’ve found that the most important things in my life are my faith, my family and friends. If I keep these things at the top of my to do list then everything else seems to happen with ease.
It’s Friday and the end of another work week and the weekend is almost here. It’s been another good week for me and many things have been accomplished. The bathroom is once again clean and shinny and progress was made in Santa’s workshop.
I got to spend some time with my daughter yesterday and as she’s working now, that time is all the more precious. Today is going to be spent on putting some final touches on some of my crafts and starting new ones.
Today’s holiday tip: Make Ice with recycled milk cartons.
It seems we always need extra ice on hand when it comes to the holidays. Simply use your empty milk cartons, rinse and refill with clean water. Leave an inch at the top for expansion, then tuck into the freezer. Use whole cartons for ice chests. For crushed ice turn the cartons sideways and smack smartly against a concrete floor and then tear open the top and pour. Energy saving bonus: Keeping freezers full cuts energy use.
A dollar saved is a dollar well earned.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!

When you focus on the important things, life is always brighter!
That's a great tip about making/storing extra ice! We've not a big circle of friends/family, but I'm thinking a 3-4 put in an ice chest is sure cheaper than buying bags at the corner store.
Since retirement, I've been doing some Life Evaluation myself. As a matter of fact, that very thing was playing out in my head this morning when I should've/could've been sleeping. (*smile*)
Of course, I'll be keeping your DD's MIL in my prayer consciousness! Please let us know how she's doing?
Happy Friday!
I spent some quality time yesterday with the Lord thanking him for my life and especially the last 15 years. These last years have been the happiest I’ve ever been and I’m so thankful to God for orchestrating my life in such a way that he saved the best years for the last. I visited Reaoma yesterday. It breaks my heart to see her like this. Life can change for me in a heartbeat and for now I will praise the Lord and live my life as abundantly as possible. I love to visit you here in the mornings. I think you truly live the abundant life and I always find nuggets of priceless encouragement in every post.
Louis Dean freezes water in gallon milk jugs. He also bags up our ice cubes and freezes them (our ice maker is broke) so we never have to buy ice. Easy saved $$!
Wishing you a good weekend!
That's a good idea with freezing water in milk containers. We used to do similar with ice tea plastic jugs. Sure beats paying for ice at the store. Will say a prayer for your DD's MIL. It is good to take the time to evaluate one's life and make sure we are on the path we might want to be. I know as hubby is nearing retirement in the next year or so, we're doing plenty of evaluating here ourselves.
