ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Fight Procrastination Day which reminds us that this is a day to get things done, and is a call to action.
To many people procrastination is a way of life. The more difficult the action or decision, the easier it is to join the league of procrastinators. As a procrastinator , you are in good company. You can even become a card carrying member of the Procrastinators Club.
Today is a day to fight procrastination. Make a decision, Take action. Do it now. Do it today. It may be hard to do, but you will be glad you did.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Never put off until tomorrow, what you can do today.
Mark Twain
I’m not a procrastinator, but still there are many things that I don’t get done that I’d planned to do each day. One of the downsides of aging is not being able to do everything I used to do. I’ve learned to slow down and lower my expectations for each day. It’s the only way I can be assured of doing what I should in a days time.
Expectations are often discouraging when set too high. I figure I do what I can with what I have and am thankful for doing what I can, when I can.
By accepting that I am, what I am, a slow person, I have come to realize, there is more to life than increasing the speed. My ‘to do’ list is getting shorter and shorter.
As long as I can do what is important, I’m not going to worry about being a procrastinator. I’m me and I do try to the best with I have and live life with no regrets.
I hope you all have a GREAT day! Happy Thursday

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
You may delay, but time will not.
Benjamin Franklin

A bit of love from someone dear…

Always take time to tell those that you love just how much they mean to you. Don't put it of, because you never know when the next opportunity may come.
I don't procrastinate on most things, but there are some things I really have to force myself to do, but it all eventually gets done :)

I've always been a bit of a procrastinator, but then again there are many things I tackle quickly to get done. In many cases I wait to do something (like cleaning my office closet) because I don't want to start into it and then get stopped by something else. And usually those clean up jobs don't get rid of much, but just move stuff around a bit.

I'd join that procrastinator's club, but I don't feel like it. Maybe tomorrow... :)
Just kidding. I'm a do-ahead-of-time kinda gal and always have been. When I know I have something to do, it weighs on my mind until I get 'er done.
"Expectations are often discouraging when set too high." Since retirement, I sure know that one. Every morning I make myself a list, so elementary it would make anyone laugh. Still, I get a sense of satisfaction by going and checking off each item.
