Today is also Citizenship Day, which is also know as Constitution Day, and it marks the anniversary of the ratification of the US Constitution on September 17, 1787.  It also recognizes all who have become US citizens.

To celebrate this date, reflect on the Constitution and what it means to be a US citizen.

I’m celebrating two birthdays today as I forgot to put DDIL#4’s birthday in Sunday’s post.  I’m so sorry to have missed the chance to say happy birthday on her own very special day.  Our Ray of Sunshine is a wonderful grandson that is not so little anymore.  Both are long distance celebrations.  Cards were sent out with love and best of wishes for happy birthdays to both and hopefully they were not late.  Today’s pictures are of them both.

I am proud to be a citizen of the USA.  I was born here, and raised here. I can’t imagine the work it took to create Constitution and am thankful for the wise men that created it. 

The weekend went by fast and we were able to enjoy a couple of nice days without rain.  Today we are to have considerable cloudiness and rain by afternoon, but tomorrow the sunshine returns.  It’ll be right around 80 degrees until the weekend then our temps will drop into the low 70’s and upper 60’s.  We’ll see what comes!  It’s a new week and anything is possible !

as they discharge their duties

with the shield of your strength,

enable them to return home in safety

that with all who love them
